I was wondering – does weather impact the drying times on the castings and the paint? It’s cooled off pretty quickly and started raining again – so I was curious if the moisture in the air affected anything.
Yes, extreme temperatures and humidity do make a difference.though I don’t know if drying time is affected that much.. the paint can be. The first batch of dragons I tried painting here in Oregon became one of our first goof-up editions because the finish simply wouldn’t go on correctly! It was REALLY cold!
OH! You mean that water that falls from the sky? Haven’t seen any in months (okay it did sprinkle today for about 5 minutes, but it has seriously been since May or June since we’ve seen any rain in Texas)
Is it very humid in Oregon? I would imagine so since its close to the ocean and rains a lot huh?
It’s not terribly humid in Oregon. We have the odd day now and then, but mostly it’s either dry (rarely) or rainy (often). Which, I guess you could call rain humidity (it’s water in the air after all!), but not quite the same thing. 🙂
