Here in western Colorado we don’t have any wildfires yet this year. However, the smoke from all the fires on the west coast and Montana is flowing down over us. I live 3 miles from the mountains and the smoke here is so thick you can’t tell there are even any mountains here. Folks with allergies and breathing issues are having a horrible time just trying to breathe. The health department is asking people to stay inside. And now in 90 degree temps they are telling us not to use our air conditioners or swamp coolers as it will just suck the smoke into the houses.
So everyone, no matter where you are or what you are facing be careful and stay safe!

I am in Alberta, above Montana just east of the mountains and the smoke has also been really bad here all summer. My friend Brian has asthma and hasn’t been able to go outside much for hiking or camping most of the summer. We got a couple hikes in in the last two weeks but now the smoke is back again and we had to cancel a hike we were going to do today. I hope the fires in the west die down and I hope the storms in the east die down too and don’t cause too much damage! Stay safe everyone!
