Moving right along. The wall in the living room is fixed now. Looks much better. My room is painted. It’s…..busy. 😮 You either love it…..or not. I tried to get pictures but the color just doesn’t show up right. It’s either too green, or looks kind of blue. I wasn’t going to post any pictures yet, but the trim package arrived today 😀 and having the doors against the walls kind of breakes things up. The color still isn’t right. It looks more blue than green. At least you get the idea. I think once I have my bookcases, display cases, and pictures up, it will look fine. That’s what I keep telling myself. 🙂
The two doors on the right will replace the ones in the photo above. I can’t wait to see it with all the trim.
May 12, 2009 at 1:06 am #733651I like the idea – and I bet the color looks really cool in person! 8)
May 12, 2009 at 12:42 pm #733652For what it’s worth–I think it looks great! 🙂
May 12, 2009 at 3:47 pm #733653I like it, too. 🙂
May 13, 2009 at 8:32 pm #733654me three. 😉
May 13, 2009 at 8:51 pm #733655That’s a totally awesome color! The only thing though, is that it might darken the room, depending on how much light gets in there. It looks great, not busy to me.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

They are still covered up, but I have 3 tubular skylights in there, and there will be a bunch of track lighting as well. Russ set up the track lights so that I can light up my desk area, my craft table, or the library, and also lights for my display cases and pictures. I can use any combination of those lights, as little or as much as I want. Glad you guys are liking it. 🙂
May 29, 2009 at 1:28 am #733657We’re slowly making progress. The skylights are in and it makes a huge difference in my room! We’ve been doing trim this week. What I was told would take two days has turned into five 🙄 but it’s getting there. Tonight I came home and they had the pocket doors hung! I wasn’t expecting that today. I took pictures of the doorway from both sides. It looks great. And with the new skylights, the color in my room is much more true in the photo. We looked at carpet today too, and I think we have something we can both agree on. 🙂 Hopefully, we’ll get that ordered this weekend. I also have to pick out some tile for my garden window. I have a tile mural to go in it but need more to go around it. Can’t wait to see that done. Then I think we’re down to lights. Oh yeah, and painting the outside of the house, putting up the cat’s pen, and……does it ever end? 😆
Here’s the side in the livingroom. It’s soooo good to see that done!
Here’s the view from my room.

May 29, 2009 at 10:31 pm #733659Those doors are quite lovely. Congrats on the progress. 🙂
June 17, 2009 at 2:13 am #733660We finally got the tile mural put into the garden window. It just has to dry for a few days and then it gets sealed. It really came out nice. It was hard getting pictures though. The light wasn’t the best, and I couldn’t get the whole thing in one shot. The mural is called Guardian Spirits by Kim McElroy. Can you make out all the horses? The single tile is called Over The Rainbow also by KM. It’s a memorial piece for Copper.
All the trim is done and carpet goes in next Monday. 😀 Need to get the track lighting in too.
June 17, 2009 at 2:20 am #733661It’s beautiful!!!! 😀

June 17, 2009 at 5:59 pm #733664The tile mural is lovely! How many horses are in there? I counted 13.
This whole project is looking really nice.
