      Anyone experienced or dabble in watercolors and what’s your opinion on affordable brands? I’m using cheap prismacolors and they’re…less than satisfactory and dull.

        QoR and Holbein watercolors are my favorite by far, especially QoR. Though those two can get pricey, depending on whether you buy a set, individual, etc. But they definitely last you! Winsor and Newton are also good; they were the ones I moved to when once I graduated the cheaper ones (the student grade versions).

          Thank you! I’ll look into Winsor and Newton to start with. I’m not experienced in watercolors at all so it’ll be interesting to see how they differ. Oh, I made a mistake in the previous post about which brand I was using. They were master’s touch watercolors not prismacolor. 😬
