Well, The postal service has once again lost a package of mine! THIS time it was delivered to a house that was NOT mine so there is no way for me to recover it because they will not give me the information on which carrier delivered it or where it was actually delivered to.
It’s being “looked into” by our towns post master, but I do not think it’s going to go in my favor because who ever has my griffin I’m sure has seen the receipt, knows what it was worth and probably sold it or has at the very least gotten rid of the evidence by now because it’s been about 10 days. I JUST talked in person to my regular carrier and (of course) he was on a vacation day the day of delivery. He’s trying to get information for me, but his route got split between several carriers that day. In any case, things don’t look good…
SO… I need a new Silver Wolf Male Griffin. I’ll probably just end up having to buy a new one if they are still in stock next week, but if I can get one in trade that’s even better. (since buying another one just annoys me) I am in the process of renting a PO box so I stop getting un-delivered/mis-delivered mail. As much as I would love to discontinue use of USPS unfortunately that’s not possible with the amount of online transactions I make. It also goes up my behind sideways I have to give them MORE money to get them to do their job correctly, but I digress…
Anyway, I can trade my Shimmering Embers Phoenix if anyone is interested. Each pays shipping to eachother. I’d only ask for my shipment to be held until I get my new PO Box so it can be shipped to THAT so I don’t end up with two lost griffins.

I’m sorry you have to get a PO box just to get your packages. 🙁 I ordered some photo prints from Shutterfly that came today and the post office had torn the pictures to bits. The shipping rates keep going up and up and the quality keeps going down. :angry:
I’m really sorry that happened 🙁 You should make the post office reimburse you for the cost of the griffin. It’s not your fault they can’t do their jobs right.
Believe me, I am in the process but dealing with them is a long, drawn out, royal pain in the rear. Thankfully I have my postal carrier on my side, but after calling a few local pawn shops and giving a detailed description of my griffin apparently he is currently making the rounds around town.
The whole problem is once the delivery confirmation is marked as “delivered” the post office says they have “technically” done their job and it’s not their problem. Needless to say, I’m not getting packages delivered to me anymore. They are ALL for pick up only!

It’s a federal offense to open somebody else’s mail. Since it had your address on it they could have just taken it back to the post office and said it was delivered to them by mistake, but instead they steal it?! What a bunch of scumbags.
EXACTLY!!! I get mail once in a while that is wrong. Usually the number matches but in most cases, but the street is wrong.
For example, I live on Washington Street. About 2 months ago, I got a check sent to me under a weird company name, but with my exact address. Not knowing what it was, I opened it and it was a check for almost $600 bucks! In this case, it wasn’t the post office’s bad, but whoever made the check out put my address in for some strange reason. If I was a total scammer scumbag, I probably could have cashed and got away with it, but I googled the company name and found out the address was my matching number, but it was Whittenton Street, NOT Washington Street. I got his company’s phone number and called him to let him know I had his check and I was able to meet him and give it to him. THAT’S what NORMAL people do! He was so happy and wanted to pay me for my honesty and I told him to not be silly I was just doing what anyone else would do. If I was expecting like $600 bucks and it never came, and I was relying on it to pay my rent or something and someone stole it instead and I got evicted or something, I mean, don’t people think of what kind of effect something dishonest can really do to others? It’s no wonder why this world sucks so much!

If you can ever find out the name of the person who got your griffin I would press charges. That was ridiculous. Who does that person think he is taking what doesn’t belong to him and trying to profit from it. D<If I can find it, that’s EXACTLY what I plan to do! *nods* Oh! I am SO HOPING I find him in an actual shop. They are all closed for the evening now, but I’m going to call them tomorrow and probably stop by one with a photo just to see if they recognize it. If I can get the info on who has it they are in for a WORLD of PAIN!!!

My art: featherdust.comLast thing I want to do is make Susie’s life harder. She would have to send me a special invoice for every purchase to pay for it I would assume. If I could do that it would be just fine with me. I have been arguing about just having the post office hold ALL my packages from now on, but they said there’s no way they could keep track of that. They recommended I rent a PO box and have them shipped to that from now on.

On the other hand isn’t UPS or Fed Ex an option on the store check out? If any carrier lost one of my packages and didn’t compensate me for it I would not be using them for anything ever again… Except maybe letter mail…I don’t think insurance is offered on the Windstone Store though
