First off, I have to say that I got the #2 Wall Eyed Goof Up Old Warrior. He arrived today and he is SPECTACULAR!
He is Pink Copper Pearl..
Melody way assumed this guy was messed up, but he is gorgeous!

I don’t understand why he is a goof up. The eyes look great! I know Melody had trouble with the eyes, but mine is simply gorgeous!

Artist are the worse critics to themselves.
I understands what she mean when she says it is goofed-up. It’s not the way she intended it to be and probable that is why she says it’s goofed-up.
To us he appears to be anything but that. 😆He is beautiful, keschete! He looks a little, uh, relaxed, but I wouldn’t call it a goof-up. Serenity, thy name is Goof Up Old Warrior! 😆

If I remember what she said, She had to resculpt a lid over the eye, it makes it look different with a funny expression.

WINDSTONE EDITIONS PINK COPPER PEARL OLD WARRIOR ‘GOOF-UP’ EDITION #3
I didn’t know what to do with this small batch of Old Warriors, so here is a new category: This is a new dragon edition called a “Goof-up Edition.”
This dragon is perfect except that his eyes are weird. He has a wall-eyed expression because I was experimenting with ways to set some very thin straw colored eyes into the very deep eye sockets of the old warrior sculpt. I tried to place them out towards the lids by filling the sockets with epoxy putty and setting the eyes against that, but this left an odd gap around the inside corners. So then, I tried filling that with white glue… anyway, the results are what you see here.
We have 10 of these guys that are all pretty much identical to each other, and all the same color. This dragon was originally white. I often do test paints over painted pieces that aren’t good. The normal pearl white color of this dragon has been added to with an interesting mix of gold, copper and violet paint on his wings and other points. This “light copper mauve” color was so pretty I had the rest of these goof-up White Warriors painted this way too. He measures approximately 7-1/2″ tall and 11″ long.
Not having an OW of my own to compare him with, I can’t even tell that his eyes are strange! He’s beautiful, keschete 🙂 Congratulations!
