Well, I’m still waiting. I haven’t heard from anyone since Thursday via email. I did take all 3 cats tothe vet, that was fun! My big male kittie, Calvin, got sick(from the basement, not the attic 😆 ) all over his crate and the back of my SUV. Thank goodness I have a cargo matt back there!
I get to do back Monday morning with my pooch because she needs to get an infected tumor removed. Hopefully it’s not canceruous!
March 31, 2007 at 7:34 pm #556398That’s too funny, Em! I’ll bet that bird knew exactly what he was doing and enjoyed the results! 😆 Probably the people that work there didn’t talk to him, either:-/
April 1, 2007 at 1:26 am #556399No, they did. They told him to be quiet a lot. 🙂
April 1, 2007 at 9:57 am #556400I hope he learned how to say it back! 😈
April 1, 2007 at 3:26 pm #556401No, he didn’t. He’d say, “Hello” and “Who’s a pretty bird?” mostly. And the scream! 😆
They just weren’t consistant enough for him to learn it. They’d say, “Shut up” and “Be quiet” or “Give it a rest” or “Corby, that’s not nice.” It was never one thing repeatedly.
April 1, 2007 at 7:46 pm #556402The one petsho back home had one bird like that, but they had to take him home because all he did was swear 😆 .
Personally large parrots are one of the animals that I dont think pet shops should be allowed to sell, people just dont realise that they live for 70+ years, and that when their person dies they often die of loneliness. Up on that list are snakes larger than 4 feet, iguanas, water dragons, turtles, oscars and arrawanas to name a few.
Oh ya I agree that many rescues make adopting difficult, but if the powers that be would shut down puppy mills, brokers and stop pet shops from selling dogs and cats there would be fewer dogs in rescue to begin with.

And they have the difficult process becasue they want to make sure the pet is going to a good home with a serious owner and not someone who will just toss it back onto the street. It makes sense and I am all for it. I dont think it should be that expensive, though. $50 would show you are serious about the pet, but I understand they have to keep the rest of them fed, too. Oh well.
April 2, 2007 at 12:29 pm #556404Oh, don’t even get me started on puppy mills. Sometimes I just really stop and say to myself, Seriously, what is WRONG with these people? Pet shops too. I have seen puppies that were obviously very ill and nobody seemed to care. There wasn’t even a tag on thier cage saying anything…
Anyway, I’m really excited. I’ll hopefully complete my phone interview today. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for my golden, I take her in this morning to get that nasty thing removed from her. Hopefully it’s nothing malignant, and if it is, that we caught it in time.
April 2, 2007 at 5:07 pm #556405I hope your dog will be fine and it isn’t serious. That is a funny story emerald.
April 2, 2007 at 6:27 pm #556406Thanks, she came thru just fine and I can pick her up in a little while.
April 2, 2007 at 6:28 pm #556407That’s great news, asinnamon: -)
