OK first aren’t these the same as the old Russett ones?? I know there has been talked about both but I do not remember what was decided.
I can possible get an extra but I need to know when they hit and where e-bay, Windstone store etc. i can’t do anything on ebay at workThis is what she said:

Yes, no more. HOWEVER they will be replaced by another color that is very similar to that version of red flame. These new ones are called “Violet Flame”, but this first batch of them is very heavy on the red color, so they look very much like the “red flame” but even prettier, I think. They have more gold and violet on them.

They are available in the Windstone Store. There’s a link on the first page of this thread. They cost $50 and are unsigned.
I’m not sure how many there were to start with. There were 26 before I bought mine. It’s down to 22 now.

The curls, as it clearly says in the product description in the store, are replacing the now retired ‘russet’ color:Quote:We have retired the Curl dragon in Russet, or Red Flame, or whatever we called it, but now they are painted in this new color! So no, they are not the same.
The fledglings (which have never before been made in ‘russet’ or ‘red flame’ or ‘violet flame’) will be in the store soon too. Just gotta wait for Tom to put them there.

I just order the violet flame curlie. My brown and emerald curlies arrived today. The brown is really great – that makes 8 curlies. Gotta have em – it takes about a week for them to get to FL
This is a plot to make me buy all the curlies, I have a original red flame on the way and just got the violet flame….and I can’t ever just get one thing, so I added on the brown hatching Empress since I don’t have her either….
OOHHH and I want a VIOLET FLAME POAD!!!! please, please please 🙂

I have a Windstone trade pal (buddy on the forum)….it is a great arrangement. I find stuff for him and he finds stuff for me….and we watch ebay for each other. I highly recommend it. He has a friend who had an extra red flame that he was willing to sell and he is sending the little guy packed in my Emperor box.
I sent him an Emperor last month and he was going to send the box back anyway. Of course we pay each other for the Windstones.
But if you can get set up with someone like that…it sure makes finding things a bit easier 🙂
I want one… only 12 left… but they really look too similar to the russets for me to justify it… right this minute. I have to wait for another payday, or maybe another batch. 🙂
