Black and red would be great! I just think it would have to have more red than the black gold and BEP/BVP colorings allow for. They only have color on the wing membranes, breast and belly plating and the armor on the claws. For an evil-looking critter there should be more, I think.
But hey, I’d buy it either way. 😀

      I think half and half.

Half the color red and half the color black? That would be cool.

Yeah. About even amounts of red and black. I cant decide if it would be a red dragon with black or a black dragon with red…. 🙄 I think it would nice and evil. Lots of folks with darker tastes would probably eat it up. An OW like that would be killer! Red eyes rimmed with black blending into a red face… Who knows. Maybe it looks better in my mind than it would in reality. Those red horns looked pretty cool, though..

As you say, a whole new look. I’d like to see one. 😀

black and red would be nice. i fell in love with this cross stitch pattern. the dragon does not look evil. of course, the statues would have the windstonian coloring. 🙂

umm nothing personal but I do not like that one bit. It looks like the poor thing was dunked in tar…or maybe he was a “frankenstein” dragon.

i own the pattern. the designer says she based it on a brazilian beetle species which has a black head and thorax, red abdomen and iridescent black wings. in the next few years i hope to actually start this piece. 🙂

          heh, too late.

next time i will shower you all with my deep cross stitch knowledge. i collect patterns like some of you collect windstone editions.

maybe if i stopped buying so many of these, i would have money for the windstones. sigh.
