Gosh darnit! I ordered online a ruby lap dragon and a peacock scratcher for $144 each including shipping and was SO excited and now I get a call that they don’t even HAVE either of those!!! That really makes me mad 🙁 And sad 🙁 I really wanted those 2 and that was a good price! She’s calling back to see if they can give me a gold or a black gold in those 2 molds for the same price because they wanted more for them in that color 🙁
I like both gold and black gold… if they’re $144 each does anyone have a suggestion as to which color I should take? I want to eventually get both but is one worth more than the other currently? I’d get the one that’s worth more so I can buy the one that’s worth less later on.. if that makes sense? Grrrr…
February 25, 2008 at 4:11 pm #669771Aww, that’s so frustrating! I’m not sure what gold and black golds are worth, but I would get one of each myself. A gold lap and black gold scratcher, or vice versa.
February 25, 2008 at 4:14 pm #669772Check the Windstone store for the prices, or AstralCastle, or Emerald’s Emporium. I believe 144$ is closer to the price of the male dragon; the lap is more expensive, 191$, if memory serves right, and I don’t remember for the scratcher.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.
http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmFebruary 25, 2008 at 4:19 pm #669773The scratcher and lap are both $191 in the windstone store, plus shipping. So either way they’re both the same, but do you know if one’s being retired sooner or anything that I should get that one first?
February 25, 2008 at 7:26 pm #669774Both of those sculpts in those colors are current and selling for $191. After looking at the popularity of both of those colors on my order form, I would recommend getting the Gold first. They don’t seem to be selling as well as the other colors, although they are very beautiful (my personal favorite).
February 26, 2008 at 1:11 pm #669775But the black golds are beautifuller. 😛
Good luck getting a scratcher for $144, tatt2d. I hope you do.February 26, 2008 at 3:47 pm #669776The Black Golds are beautiful too, but they should be around a lot longer because they sell better.
February 26, 2008 at 7:56 pm #669777Thanks for the advice. I guess it doesn’t matter now because I told her I wanted one bg and one gold and I got a message that they ordered me the emerald peacocks and they’re on the way. What great customer service (sarcasm)
February 26, 2008 at 10:13 pm #669778That’s too bad. It’s hard to find good customer service these days.
February 26, 2008 at 10:48 pm #669779full price or anything I got an ok price on them, probably all in total saved about $50-60 then if I would have bought them at retail. I want pretty much ALL the windstones LOL but some I want more than others. And peacock is so close to emerald peacock that I’d like to do a different color before emerald peacock if that makes sense.

Wait – you asked for one black gold and one gold and now you’re getting two emerald peacocks instead? Do you even want two of the same color?
February 27, 2008 at 1:10 pm #669781scratcher in black gold and the lap in gold (couldn’t decide) and then they leave a message saying they are getting me 2 emerald peacock (1 of each I assume). I think they thought they were helping because I wanted PEACOCK and they didn’t have that and they thought this was close. Well… I would probably eventually want emerald peacocks but they’re so close to the peacocks I’d rather finish the peacocks first and then move onto another color that’s not so close, like gold or black gold.
February 27, 2008 at 3:02 pm #669782Personally, I would call them back and tell them you don’t want them, and then tell them what you do want. They shouldn’t assume.
