I recently got 3 of the Sand Fox Fennec pieces. The first one I bought out of curiosity, the second because I realized how much I liked them and I plan on using one of them as a makeshift “worry stone” piece and wanted one that I wouldn’t mind messing up the paint job on if I worry too much, and the third.. well, I guess I was mostly just curious because of the first two!
You see, their paint jobs are very varied (heh)! This is listed in the description for these guys, but you’d never really know without comparing them. They are certainly very different from each other, even their bottoms are completely different! And far from being a bad, thing, I love this. It makes them feel more unique and personal. Which is probably why I bought the third – because I wanted to see how he varied compared to the first two!
I took some pictures 🙂 I am wondering if anyone else who has gotten more than one of either the Tan or the Ivory colorings (from the same batch! They will of course vary from batch to batch) has noticed this very noticeable difference from them? I love the Sand Fox coloring the best, and even more now that I see the variation, but I’d be tempted to get a Tan or another Ivory at some point if the same differences are there too!

I would imagine that the Ivory foxes are the ones who will likely have the least variation since they’re almost only stained and antiqued. I can tell you that mine is absolutely identical to the store picture.

I like the one with the black splotch on his nose. So cute 🙂 I only bought one of the sand. He’s closest to your favorite, but has longer eye stripes and darker grey on his lower portions.

Not currently open for PYO commissions.Well I had been meaning to get a tan and a sand fox but was putting it off until I checked today and realized there was one sand one left, so I got it. So we will see what mine looks like when it gets here. I like how the 3 of yours all have different coloured bottoms. That’s cool! I think I like the one you have on the right the most.

I realized I have the store photo Sand Fennec, lol.. Could tell from the antique and the barely there black dot on her left (our right) eyebrow (Among a couple other super fine details)… So I’m a giant dork and find that kind of cool! haha, she’s a pretty lil thing! 🙂

I just got my sand and tan foxes in today with my pebble kitties and here they are with a flash and in natural light. On the sand one I actually like the dark grey on the tail and the dark face lines. The bottom of it is the same colour as your middle one Hannah. The only thing is that it has a rough sandy texture all around rather than smooth like the tan one. Of those of you who have sand foxes do they feel sandy or smooth?

Hmm.. I think the one in the right in my pictures is the smoothest, but they all have a bit of the sandy texture 🙂 I’m pretty sure the middle one has the sandiest texture, though its close between the middle one and the left one!
