Congrats on the awesome steal on those browns!!! I agree with Nam on the reasoning why the retireds are going for less right now…it’s a good time to be searching for those pieces. 🙂

Thank you guys. Yeah, the girl who bought them said she had bought them on Ebay a few years ago for $350 and she didnt understand why they didnt keep their value. I kinda felt sorry for her. I will try to take good care of them though. I really wanted a brown young ever since I had to sell mine.

Poor girl. You can tell her that they nearly always go up in value- she’s just selling at the wrong time for those pieces. 🙁

If I had had the money I would have pounced, but like many others I can’t afford anything right now.

I thought of that while I was typing and knew someone would comment on it 😆 You guys are so immature 😛

This seller is a long time collector and is selling to help pay for her daughters college. She mentioned selling an emeral sun dragon once she can get up the nerve to let him go. I am sure we all feel her pain.

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in value of the retired peices? I just scored a whole brown family (basic 4) for $155. Back in the day that would not have happened. Is it just a fluke, or are the peices going for less these days?

If so, whats the cause? Too many? Attention on the special peices? No money?

I think all of us who had to have the old brown family probably already have them….besides the peacocks, they are probably some of the most produced. I have had my peacocks and browns for almost 20 years…..and I really prefer the other sculptures to the mom, dad, young and hatcher.

So at least in my opinion, it is that there are so many, supply is greater than demand.

Were you kind enough to have pointed them towards the forum? (Kind for who? I’m not sure.)
