Oh my, these are fantastic!
Especially the new Kirin. IΒ΄m totally in love with this!
I really canΒ΄t decide if IΒ΄d rather see it as PYO or production. IΒ΄d really love to paint the Kirin but it would surely look incredible when itΒ΄s painted by you, Melody πNovember 29, 2012 at 9:46 am #889073I really canΒ΄t decide if IΒ΄d rather see it as PYO or production. November 29, 2012 at 7:38 pm #889092No! Don’t make it pyo!
November 29, 2012 at 7:58 pm #889096So when is the new Dragon hatcher coming, and what happened to the Very Large dragon I called an Empress. The largest one you made that was a possible outdoor one? I would still love it as an empress. Females can be bigger them males, just look at Black widows Female vs Male for size comparison in real world.
The new dragon hatcher (he still needs a name) is being cast . Soon as we get a substantial batch of them together ( a hundred at least) we will paint ’em. I was planning to eventually paint them in every color we have done the production dragons in (except maybe the reds)… but what should we do first?? A variety of old colors? Lavender?

I think the female garden dragon is just too darn big to be a mate for the Emperor. She’s nearly the size of a cat. Plus, she has a “stone finish” already, so it would be more work to sand the whole sculpture down to give her a fine finish than to make a whole new dragon from scratch. And a new dragon would be the right size.November 29, 2012 at 8:18 pm #889101A variety of odd colors would be nice. I’m not too crazy about seeing a lot of ….purple…haha! π

Really loving that pyo oriental, I’ve wanted to get my painting paws on an oriental for a looong while.
Standing kirin production? or undecided?
I’m undecided. I wanted for him to be regular production, but then remembered how difficult kirins are to paint…
Ha! Indeed…..especially when you consider all the fancy colors I’d want one in!
I still would like to see it as pyo.
Mostly because I know that Windstone has to do very …”basic” color patterns for production grade colors. And personally, I really enjoy contrast on fur and scale combination creatures.
I think the traditional dragons do better as production pieces, due to being all scales, they’re easier to do in a wide variety of interesting colors without being complicated.
November 29, 2012 at 11:14 pm #889119I would like to see some pink and light blue hatchers . Like new babies…lol. Blue for boy and pink for girl…HEHEHE
November 30, 2012 at 12:02 am #889120Oh, I am so saving up for when those grab bag mini keepers come out! π I gotta say, it sounds like they’re going to be the perfect canvass for a grab bag since they’re dragons, ‘cus nothing really looks weird on a draggy.
And that kirin is super cute! π It reminds me of a clydesdale haha. I’m also looking forwards to that oriental PYO ‘cus I already have some paint ideas! (Namely metallic red. I NEED a red oriental XD.) Everything looks awesomely amazing!

I’m for the good ol’ colors too: peacock, white, emp pea, black gold, etc. A mix would be nice.

Oh, and I’m absolutely not trying to insult your vision or talent (I couldn’t make a decent sculpture to save my life) but do you think the new kyrin could have bigger eyes? I feel like the baby and mom (especially) have huge eyes, and that’s one of the many things I’ve always loved about them. Makes them sooooooooooooo cute. Even the dad has pretty big ones, the ones on this one seem proportionally smaller to me. Just a thought. Again, totally up to you, but I love big eyes, what can I say?
