I feel that most of us would be there if we could. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and sending positive vibes your way. You have every reason to be afraid–I know I would. I hope this procedure will ease the horrendous pain you’ve been suffering for so long. I hope, hope, hope it works for you! We are all here supporting you in every way we can. I wish I could be there to hold your hand.

If I were anywhere close I’d be there to help! It’ll be ok, they’re sending you to the ones who know how to do the work best if they’re sending you that far. Have them explain everything, and be sure to let us know how it goes when you can!

Any news guys?? I might call Laurie & see if she knows anything. If she does, I’ll have her update us.

The proceedure got changed to Monday at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time in Idaho Falls. They say it could take as many as 5-6 hours to place the leads. The rest of the equipment for the “test drive” goes into something like a fanny pack. I think the test drive is several weeks long but don’t know for sure… I’ll try to let you know what’s going on along the way. And congrats to Zelda for that yummy, yummy griffy she won in the raffle! he’s amazing!

πŸ™‚ this is just the “test drive”. The device will be removed on Friday and then we’ll decide what to do from there. The stimulater works by sending messages to the brain before the nerves can fire off a pain message. The sensation is similar to the “prickles” you get when your hand falls asleep and is waking up, only gentler, it dosen’t hurt and you can adjust the programming faster, slower etc. Still tired and sore but it’s really nice to have no to little pain. Thankies guys! I love you all.

Back in Utah (this getting old…) Laurie has my number if needed. They removed the trial stimulator after on day because I’d developed a reaction to the adhesive on the dressings and whatever it was they washed me down with… Good news is, it looks like I’m a good candidate, so now all we do is wait. Keep your fingers crossed.
