Yep, another update. I’ve been crazy busy. And yep, I have moved… yet again! I’m still in the same area but have moved from the mesa to the mountains.

I’m close to the Taos Ski Valley overlooking Arroyo Seco where there is an earthship community built right into the mountain. I’m in the top earthship, my boss is in the middle.

It’s an old, run down, leaky, spider and rodent infested earthship. The freezer doesn’t work, and the oven door is busted, but it does have its perks. It’s quiet and beautiful up here, and the views are amazing! This is the view from my bathroom.

I’m up at about ~8400 feet. My driveway is a steep, winding dirt road. You need 4WD to reach my door. AWD vehicles won’t even make it up. I had to get a “new” vehicle and learned to drive stick. It has been quite an interesting experience. She’s not much to look at, but I love my girl! ’96 Tacoma

And as for my bedroom, that took a while to clean and get set up after the previous tenants left (actually the whole house was completely gross). I patched and repainted the nook. The loft is my “art room” which I haven’t even used yet.

On top of everything happening on my end, my husband and I have decided to divorce. Ever since I quit my job 3 years ago, life is still not settled for me. And there’s still a chance I may end up in South America (long, long story). Yay, life! LOL

Anyway, that’s the short of it. Hopefully, I’m going to try to resurrect my PYO thread soon.

I like the structure of the earthship you’re in right now. It’s rustic and organic…just, very appealing to be honest. I love it when I see unshaped branches just polished up and used for building. They’re very appealing. I hope you get everything cleaned up and comfortable soon! Awesome views are a liberating plus!

Thanks, all! It has definitely been an adventure. I’m following my heart and doing what I want. It’s quite liberating.

And the divorce is amicable. We are still close friends and are very supportive of each others different endeavors. But we still have to go through the motions, and that can be a bit stressful.

But my oven door was fixed yesterday! YAY! 😀

I love your new place and am glad that things are happening for you. Very stressful to relocate, end relationships and such. A new beginning is always exciting and scary at the same time. You had to learn some new things along the way and that’s what makes it interesting. The best to you always!
