This guy really looks like one of the fake blue eyed greens that I happen to have one of. Before you bid, ask for a picture of the bottom of the piece. That will be really telling. The fakes have the bottom covered with green felt. “Windstone” won’t appear anywhere on one of these pieces, and I’ve noticed that Windstone is not in the auction anywhere. Pena would still appear because the fakes are cast off of the original. The dimensions of the pieces will actually be distorted too.

A knock-off may also be noticeably lighter in weight than a real one, though a seller would have trouble knowing that. You can weigh a real Male and ask the seller what his weighs, to compare.

Fake mother:
Bottom of fake mother (The bottom was completely green when I got it. I tore off part of the felt):

November 18, 2008 at 6:05 am #741144I asked the seller about the bottom of the piece and am just waiting on a reply.
November 18, 2008 at 6:10 am #741145That male dragon looks like he hasn’t slept in days and has big rings under his eyes. 😆

I feel that way. Tried getting to sleep for about 2hrs and have finally given up. I figure I’ll just wear myself out.
November 18, 2008 at 8:53 am #741147I asked for a picture a day or two ago when I saw him on eBay. I’m still waiting on a response too
November 18, 2008 at 12:02 pm #741148Whoa, that fake mother is a lot closer to the original than I thought it would be. >.>; I think he’s a fake now too. o.o Who the heck was making those?

I was just thinking that, only the fake one’s just a touch larger I think…. and the colors are duller. And, of course, the eyes are blue… 😆 Also the shoulder accents are wrong on the fake one, from what I can tell from the pic. Seeing it on ebay, I wouldn’t necessarily know, though.
November 18, 2008 at 4:47 pm #741150There is a phone # on the auction. 😉
November 19, 2008 at 4:31 pm #741151The seller sent me pics, though none from the bottom of the piece. It looks VERY much like the fake mother posted above. To top it off, it also looks like it’s cracked in a few places. Should I send the pics to someone?
November 19, 2008 at 5:06 pm #741152the knee and the wings look all jacked up and his face looks like it has been pushed back and squashed.

These are old knockoffs that pop up once in a while. Thanks for catching the listing.
