I can’t get the display side back in. It seems too big to fit. What do I do??

Have you tried angling the eye when putting it in? I find I have to lean the top of the eye in first and push it up in order to get the eyes of the griffin back in. If you’re afraid of dropping the eye use a small lump of sticky tack to hold onto the front.

I noticed that one i recently did had a snug fit when i put it back in too. did you pint the inside of the pocket where the eye goes? maybe there is too much paint and some needs to be scraped out(carefuly).

I tilted the eye and wiggled it back and forth to get mine in.

I finally got it back in!! I had to scrape a bit of paint out of the socket and it barely fit back in. *phew*

Yes, if you get too much of anything- paint glue, cat hair… into the socket the eyes won’t fit right again! Try not to force it, I broke something’s face this way… 😳

This is another reason we advise not to intentionally remove eyes if possible. 😉

It wasn’t intentional!! I went in for a touch up w/ a SMALL amount of acetone and bam, they loosened right up. I noticed after about 5 minutes and had to take them out…..

Oh no, I know! That’s why I added that in there. 🙂 They do come out accidentally sometimes! 🙂
