Tornados in Atlanta

If you are watching the weather news at all you know there was a tornado through Atlanta last night and worse weather today. Our son and his wife live near the Camp Creek area. They have been showing pictures from there. They are fine but the apartment complex across from them lost it’s roofs and power.
Right now I’m waiting to hear from my younger two. They are in the Eatonton-Lake Oconee area and that is where the storm and hail is right now.

How about the rest of you Georgians on the forum? Everyone OK?

Me too! My older kids were lucky. Close enough to see every one else’s damage but they were spared. Now to hear from the younger to would be nice 🙁

I just heard from my younger two. They took shelter with their friends and other than a few trees down and some broken windows everything is fine. They are now having fun playing with the huge hail all over the ground 🙄 😆

Tornadoes . . . . . . those things are scary as all heck. I don’t think I could handle living in an area that had them on a yearly basis. They’re too capricious! I hope everyone who lives out there or has family there is doing OK!

I have been trying to contact several of my friend in Atlanta and as of yet haven’t been able to reach them. I lived in Roswell, GA which is a suburb judy north of Atlanta

Do they have cell phones? I know there are a lot of areas without power. Not sure if Roswell is one of them.

“Aww, thanks for your concern! 🙂 I’m okay. The tornado did some real heavy duty damage to the down town area. I was surprised when I saw it on the news! I was luck enough to not be involved with it. I’ve been sick with a nasty cold the past few days. That’s why I haven’t been on here much. I actually called off work today, and just got out of bed a few minutes ago. If I could just get rid of this cold… I’d be much better! It doesn’t want to go away! “
