So I took my oh so forgetful husband to get his expired drivers license renewed today. We got there right as they opened so we were in and out. Its a damn good thing to. I parked in a different lot then everyone else (don’t ask me why) and when we came out of the dmv I see this guy looking all pissed off. As I drive by him I’m like “Why is he so angry” then I see a state trooper standing at the back of his car with a window tint meter against his back glass. I’m like OMG and hurry up and turn down another isle since my window tint is way illegal and I didn’t want him to get me too. If I would have parked where everyone else was parked he would have nailed me too but thank god I parked where I did and we were in and out. I thought it was funny that the state cops were going through the parking lot getting people for illegal tint. Of course if they would have gotten me I’m sure I wouldn’t find it all that funny.

Are these tinted windows on your mustang? You’re lucky he didn’t spot you! How much is a fine for that anyway? Does it vary based on how dark they are?
I’ve been thinking about getting mine tinted, but not too dark. Just enough so they’re legal.

How dark are your windows that you would be at risk for a ticket? What’s the legal tinting limit in your state? And yes, you were lucky!

the car was manufactured with tint in the glass, on top of that it has 30% added..you cant see in at all durring the evening or night

Ours are like that too. But my bf’s uncle who works for Ford and who sold us this car had the windows tinted for us. So I really do hope ours are legal… 🙄

Its not 30% its 20%. The legal for the state is 35% which wasn’t dark enough for me and yes its on the mustang…..

The first two pics my friend Dan took with his super expensive digital slr camera. The bottom one I took, I’ve since removed the black mach one spoiler and put the original one back on.

that’s stupid.. it’s only supposed to be the side windows that matter… not the back glass.. since a lot of cars and SUV’s are manufactured with privacy tint on the back windows anyway..

on most of my cars the rear windows are limo tint… which you can’t see into at all…

                  and the sides are 28

here 35 is what is legal and under isn’t legal, but if they test the tint and it’s 25 then they will let you slide…

but testing the back glass.. that’s messed up..

                  and….. pretty mustang…

                  I miss mine…

Maryland law says that suvs can have any kind of tint on the back windows but the front windows can’t be below 35. Also you are not allowed to tint the front windows. Cars can’t have anything lower then 35 on the front or back. When I got my speeding ticket two years ago I thought for sure they would nail me for my window tint but he didn’t. I wish my mustang looked as good now as it does in the pictures. I haven’t waxed it at all this year since its turned into the baby wagon 😥

I’ll have to remember that if I move to Maryland…

That’s a purdy Mustang! I really like the wheels and black out panel on the back. Some of those panels look real nice, and some just don’t… depending on the style, and of course the year of the car. There are some real junky looking ones out on the market for the 2005 and up models.
