July 26, 2009 at 4:02 pm #777044I’m really looking forward to this. ^_^ The Disney version actually creeped me out when I was a kid but I feel comfortable with Tim Burton so I think this version will be less scary than the Disney lol!
July 26, 2009 at 5:19 pm #777045Cool! Thanks for letting us know–I’m the type who is pretty much ‘under a rock’ when it comes to this sort of thing. I liked Alice in Wonderland as a kid–I loved being in a fantasy world and Alice was it for me! I loved the cat–‘I’m mad, you’re mad–we’re all mad here!’ Yeah, short story of my life! 😆 😈 Don’t get out to the movies much, but might brave it and venture out on this one!
July 26, 2009 at 6:41 pm #777046I saw a preview last night in 3D! (I went to see G Force) It looked REALLY good! And no one better than Depp to play the Mad Hatter. 😆
July 26, 2009 at 8:07 pm #777047I’m looking forward to it too!!!
July 26, 2009 at 8:17 pm #777048That looks way cool!

Ski, how did you like G-Force? And I think Jim Carrey could’ve played the Mad Hatter, too.
July 27, 2009 at 4:08 am #777050There was a TV version years ago, it scared the ever living crap outta me! I can not wait to see this one though.

Which TV version are you referring to? The 1999 version with Whoopie Goldburg as the Cheshire Cat or the 1985 version. I love the 1985 version!

YES Thank you 🙂 I love Depp but he makes a better Pirate than Willy Wonka. Jim Carey, in my opinion, can play any role-weird and goofy to sad and serious (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and I even thought he did a great job in “The Number 23” playing a guy who was trying to be funny but didn’t always succeed.
I’ve never actually seen all of Alice in Wonderland *runs and hides under desk* I should drop by the video store tonight. O.O
July 27, 2009 at 5:41 pm #777053Have to admit I’m excited about this too!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
July 27, 2009 at 6:37 pm #777054I’m looking forward to seeing this, too. I’m a big Depp fan, but Willy Wonka was one of my least favorites, as was Edward Scissorhands. We’ll see how this role turns out. I agree that Jim Carrey would have been great as the Mad Hatter.

I thought it was cute. I got a little headache from the glasses, but other than that, it was cute.
