Every time I decide to take an afternoon off or try to do something fun, it always backfires.
So my boss loved the clean up job I did this morning and offered me the day off, so I took it. I came home and had a nap.
One of my clients phoned me six times while I was sleeping. The phone rings in the office first, then my cell phone. My boss will normally answer the phone, but he knows how much I hate this client cause he’s a TOOL and doesn’t understand that I don’t have time to see him (but he refuses to find another tech, even when I offer to send one). So my nap was interrupted.
Then the seniors across the hall must have smoked 10 packs today cause I wake up with eyes watering to hell and can’t breathe, which is why we need to get out of here so bad.
Then I fall out of bed and get my laptop in my tail bone. Yeah. I cried.
We were going to go for dinner and a movie, but since Narnia is 2.5 hours long and I’m in pain, we just go for dinner, which was a complete and useless event. I’m so pissed at it I didn’t even attempt to argue the bill, I just paid and left.
Tomorrow I need to lie on my back in order to wire the last of the cabinets too.
And Friday I have to lift the 110 lb server out of the rack, which is 6 feet in the air.
Great.
I’ll be crying this weekend.

May 27, 2008 at 2:14 am #708048Im sorry Snap. I wish you would have skipped the dinner and seen Narnia. It was great. I hope your butt feels better. 🙂 Need more hugs?
May 27, 2008 at 2:34 am #708049I’m sorry Snap. I hope tomorrow is a better day. 🙁 (hugs and a soft pillow to put under your tailbone)
May 27, 2008 at 2:34 am #708050Poor Snap, I would say I’ll kiss your boo boo and make it better but…. I could send you my butt pillow. It really does help when you have to sit or do anything that involves butt to hard surface contact.

YIKES! 😯 Now THERE is a very disturbing mental image…Sometimes a really vivid imagination is NOT a good thing….although I’m quite sure Snap would enjoy that 😉 …LMAO.
Sounds more like poor Snap will need a good back massage after all that lying on the back and lifting. Hitting the tailbone is on a par with hitting your funnybone–HARD. Ouch! To hell with chocolate; this calls for serious comfort; *sends a bottle of Jack Daniels Snap’s way*May 27, 2008 at 3:19 am #708052AnonymousJD, oh great, so I’ll wake up Monday morning, have no idea where I am, and find out the web server is lost in the river somewhere.
May 27, 2008 at 4:04 am #708053*Sends Snap some Ice Tea to go with his JD*
(My fiancee swears by it!!!! Tried it camping, I think he calls it Jack’s Tea).
It’s either good hot or cold, but since I don’t like JD I find both ewwie.
*gets out Cuervo Gold to drink with Snap* 😀 😀
May 27, 2008 at 4:37 am #708054aww Snap, you poor guy. What a crappy day. Bring a pillow with you to the office for when you’re laying on your back.
May 27, 2008 at 4:39 am #708055Awww…Snap. I hope your tailbone doesn’t hurt for too long! *hugs*
May 27, 2008 at 4:56 am #708056Awww. Don’t worry. Ski will rub it and make it feel better!
May 27, 2008 at 4:59 am #708057Poor Snap. Just know that we appreciate all you hard work!! WE LUVS YOUUUU!! 😉

Are you kidding, I can’t even lie in bed right now. No way I can finish the wiring this week.
May 27, 2008 at 5:34 am #708059As a wife of a computer geek/god. I feel for you on the clients being PITAs.
I can’t believe they pay him that much money to plug a keyboard in or to move a printer.
He’s finally at a point where he actually turned his phone of for our weekend at the lake 😯 He’s never done that before!
The one big contract he has just doubled his $, so I think he doesn’t feel the need to be that accomodating to the more irritating clients. But still, I don’t understand why someone would pay him to move a monitor to another desk, but it means another windstone for me when they do. So I’m not complaining 😆 -
