My life is now complete.And yes I think it is a cement knock off, but I am still totally thrilled to see this!!(Click on the second picture, my dragon is lying at the foot of the grave site)
This is wonderful Melody! 😀 Your amazing dragon guards the queen of dragons and sci-fi! (It’s like; best dragon sculpture/sculptor in the world meets best dragon writer in the world! XD BEST MATCH EVER!) 😀 This makes me really happy some how XD
Also… I didn’t even know she was dead! 🙁 RIP Anne McAffrey!

That’s awesome! Sad that it’s a knock off, but we all know who the original was made by! Guard her well!
At least it’s meant as a tribute to a wonderful writer . Sad that it’s a knock off . But a real Windstone would never survive outside in the weather .
Even if it’s a knock off that’s one hell of an awesome feeling I’m sure!!! The dragon master of sculpting having her artwork watching over and the dragon master of writing! That’s truly amazing Melody!

I believe the beauty and privledge is with the creator (you) of the sculpture and that the Knock Off artist will know that they are not the ones who deserve the credit. Anyone who knows you will know that it is a Melody Pena Creation Lying at the Feet of the Creator of Pern!! 🙂OMG! I didn’t know Anne McCaffrey had passed away until I saw this post! This is so sad! I read through all of the Pern series for the first time starting mid last year and finished mid year this year and I loved the intelligent and benevolent dragons (the dolphins were good too!). I can’t believe she is gone!
Even if the dragon guarding her grave is a fake, we all know who made the original! You must feel so proud Melody, and rightly so! I think Anne would have loved a Windstone dragon watching over her!
You know, when I was immersed in the world of Pern, I just had to look over at my Windstone dragons, and I could see them in Pern, soaring through the skies and fighting thread (I know, I have an overactive imagination….). I was thinking of my gold emperor as Ramoth for a while too!
