O.K., I have never used acrylics with and airbrush before and I know that you use thinners on enamels and oil biased paint but what do you use to thin acrylics? Thanks for your time!

I was wondering this too, I just wonder about so much stuff, I forget it from time to time. Thanks for asking cuz, I’d like to know too. 🙂

I know that Golden makes an airbrush thinner/medium for their acrylics:

Those are designed for use with the Golden Fluid Acrylics (I highly recommend). I don’t know how well they’d work with other brands.

I think how they handle depends on your airbrush too. I’ve heard some folks on here say that they clogged their airbrush up solid right away, while some have been airbrushing forever without a problem.

Golden’s airbrush medium works fine with Liquitex (just an fyi). I use Golden and Liquitex fairly interchangeably and haven’t had any issues. Just make sure it’s liquid enough when you mix it. Liquitex mades an airbrush medium as well.
