A unicorn and a lion are on the United Kingdom’s coat of arms, representing England and Scotland (And they still look combative)
Gosh, if Scotland had voted for succession, they would of had to delete the unicorn from all the coats of arms! That would have been awful!As the nursery rhyme/folk song puts it,
`The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown:
The Lion beat the Unicorn all round the town.
Some gave them white bread, some gave them brown;

But, if Scotland would have succeeded, the unicorn could have had its own coat of arms.

Alas, that is true. It reflects the adversarial relationship the two countries have had in history.
