I just saw it with my hubby saturday. He dosen’t like movies like that, but I don’t like going to the movies all by myself so he bit the bullet and came with me 🙂 . I was very disappointed, Lady in the Water was good and The Sixth Sense was exellent, but The Happening didn’t do a thing for me. Marky Mark, or whatever the heck his name is, performance wasn’t compelling at all and the story line was predictable at best. I basically wasted 16 bucks on tickets and paid way to much for popcorn and soda 🙄 .

I laughed at Final Destination 2.
All the girls were freaking out when the guy gets pummeled by the glass plane, I just threw my arms up and yelled BURN!The Sixth Sence was good, Unbreakable was alright, Signs was good, The Village stopped me from seeing any more of his movies… That one just plain SUCKED… I doubt I’ll even rent The Happening…

This isn’t really a spoiler, since it has nothing to do with the plot, so…what is it with old ladies? XD The part of The Happening that I found the most hilarious was when this old lady they find shelter with starts eavesdropping on them from the hall outside their room. Marky Mark goes out in the hall and she’s like, “You’re in there whispering about how you’re gonna steal my stuff, aren’t you! You’re going to kill me in my sleep, I know it!”
And Marky Mark, in this fake, lame, lame, LAME voice (I can’t even describe how dumb/fake this sounded) goes, “Oh NO ma’am!”
The whole theater cracked up. >.>;
Really, I haven’t been able to figure out what M. Night was thinking with this one. It’s so bad (acting-wise, especially) it’s almost like they did it on purpose, just to see how much of a screw-up they could make. I’m not saying I haven’t seen worse *cough* Into the Woods! *cough*, but geez.
