I still think that pink is a marketing disaster to the general public, but in small batches for you weirdos… why not?? 😉
I was going to ask, who are you calling weird? Then I realized that it takes one to know one. 😉 😆
September 27, 2007 at 4:13 pm #620980maybe we all are a bunch of wierdo’s(I really want ski’s scratcher)
September 27, 2007 at 4:18 pm #620981This is just an idea… but for us weirdos that want the bigger dragons pink… what if we request them and that would make the numbers low, therefore only a few would be made (at request) and there would be no over stock???? I have no idea if that would work or not, its just an idea! 😉

I think it’s a wonderful idea. Pre-orders.

Curies did well for a few reasons:
-They’re affordable, so many people collect them (and want every one made)
-They’re really cute
-They’re affordable. No really- it’s easier to drop $60 out of a paycheck every few weeks for a curlie, than say $200 for a larger sculpt when “the pink is so cute.. but… maybe not $200 cute” 😉I like the pink somewhat but agree with Nam. Maybe the smaller sculpts in small batches. Although….I know the lap looks good in pink. But not everybody likes pink as much as some of us. 😛
September 27, 2007 at 4:53 pm #620984Pre-orders would be a great idea especially for the bigger sculpts, such as the Lap. Those obviously cost more than the curlies and fledgies… so not as many people may be willing to buy the Lap. I would order a Lap in pink for sure though.
September 27, 2007 at 5:04 pm #620985I would def. go for a pink mama coiled. I think preorders would be a good idea, too, for our varied tastes. I would go for a pink scratcher, but not for a pink lap (for example).
September 27, 2007 at 5:17 pm #620986I’d order a mother dragon in pink! It would make her look all girly and elagant! 🙂
September 27, 2007 at 5:32 pm #620987Yay yay yay!! More pink dragons!! ^_^ I’d definitely be up for any of the bigger sculpts – I think preorders is a great idea.

-J R R TolkienSeptember 27, 2007 at 6:02 pm #620988i need to get a job. i would love a lap amd emperor in pink…but i need a job that gives me monies…so i can wait on the pinks. that curly was a must have dragon though.
September 27, 2007 at 6:03 pm #620989Windstone really can’t do ‘paint on demand’ or requests- they generally need to do things in batches to make them cost effective to make (which is reflected in the lower costs you guys gotta pay). That’s one reason the really limited stuff is so expensive, like Olympia’s special pieces.
Pre-orders (where you pay before it’s made) on a large scale would make Susie’s hair fall out, trying to keep track of them.
However, I believe it IS helpful to know approximately how many people want these sorts of things, in case they do get made… so that they have an idea of how many to make! 🙂

My art: featherdust.comSeptember 27, 2007 at 6:10 pm #620990Well, if we’re counting noses, count me in for a pink fledgling and coiled momma!! 😀
September 27, 2007 at 6:28 pm #620991Well we don’t need Suzie’s hair falling out! lol
I’d go for a pink curl (which are available) and a pink mother dragon! If a mother dragon can be done!;)
September 27, 2007 at 6:37 pm #620992I would buy anything and everything that Melody was kind enough to offer in pink (my favorite color). I will just wait patiently and hope Melody does make more. All hail the great corruptor, Skigod, and of course the ever wonderful Miss Melody.
