It is kinda cute 😆
I agree. Actually, it doesn’t even look like a bug — more like some weird furry animal.

I thought it was a loogie.
March 24, 2007 at 1:08 am #554576I went and used google and looked at more of those beetles. They are neat! And most of them don’t really look like snot.

Considering the fur is toxic to touch, I’ll most likely fall into the run away screaming category. My son thought it was cuuute but I think its a bit on the creepy side.

That’s a bug? I’d want one for a pet – if for nothing else to test toxicity of its fur.

It’s supposed to be a “puss caterpillar”, all of which if you do a google image search on the things confirms they all look like walking peices of shag carpeting. I also came across some pictures of people who got stung by them…ouch. 😡
March 24, 2007 at 3:31 pm #554580Off to research “puss caterpillar”! 😀
March 24, 2007 at 3:37 pm #554581I see what you mean by “ouch.” Nasty looking stings. And yet a few don’t sting. I read about a mom who handled one and only found out the next day it was supposed to be toxic. I wonder why that particular one didn’t sting…
Cute little buggers, at any rate.March 24, 2007 at 8:14 pm #554582puppies are cute. 😀
kittens are cute. 😀
bugs that look like puppies and kittens….not so cute. 😕All bugs in my house come to a swift meeting with a rolled up newspaper. Although they are fasticinating sometimes(every REALLY look at a bee up close) they still don’t need to be in my house. 😉
March 24, 2007 at 9:19 pm #554583Me I give spiders a stern warning to go hide and not to scare the customers, sometimes I take them outside, sometimes I stomp em. Roaches ,silverfish ,flies and skeeters are the only things I kill on sight. Bees usually leave when I tell them to.
March 24, 2007 at 9:20 pm #554584If the bugs here are small enough they generally end up as goldfish food.
March 24, 2007 at 9:29 pm #554585hmmm….Nirvana likes bugs. Careful or you many end up as the goldfish food 😆
March 24, 2007 at 9:46 pm #554586I used to raise mice, and when a spider came in the house, I gave it to them. And any other bug the cat didn’t eat.
March 24, 2007 at 9:55 pm #554587Cats eat bugs? I thought they were too finicky for that. My puppy likes to pounce on half-frozen bees and wasps – until they move, and then she runs to hide behind my legs. 😆
March 24, 2007 at 10:02 pm #554588Yep, they do GB… Kami’s nickname is the cockroach killer… lol…
