For those people that want the medical bills covered by them, they were completely covered by my dad’s insurance with the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP). So… pointless endeavor.
I might report them for having no proper first aid kit, as well as the exposed bolts but going through the legal system for it could get costly and I can’t afford a lawyer (even if I win, and they are bound to have better lawyers then I do, since they are a component of Empire theaters.).
I’m having their insurance contact me, if they don’t give me what I’m asking for (compensation for the fact that I am a painter and I’m paid by piece, so since I can’t paint as fast, I lose money), then I may very well get me a lawyer and sue for their gross incompetence.
I will get reimbursed but probably not enough to make Windstone go out of stock, I’m afraid. Unless they make me. 😈
You went to the one in Claireview? (Right next to AP Gaming I might add!!)
The place is classified low hazard and would be required to have at minimum one Alberta No. 1 kit on hand for 10 to 49 employees.
If they have 50-99 employees they also require one Standard First Aider on staff at all times.
I was a fire warden for five years when I worked for AB Gov’t.
I looked it up, I saw that they did require a first aider…. maybe I read wrong?

Only if they have 50+ employees, then they need a first aider on staff all the time. When I was working at Municipal Affairs we had 2 on each floor, plus a floor fire warden (me) and assistant fire wardens. Commerce Place has 25,000 sq feet per floor making it the widest in Edmonton, so there is usually 100-120 people working at all times plus visitors, up to 200 per floor (and 27 floors!) so they need wardens.

IF I ever sued for something like this, it wouldnt be for (a whole lot) of money… I would ask that they fire the morons. And then get free lifetime tickets. 😀
