I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Siberakh1, Ski, BayouDragon, Lamortefille, Jasmine, and LadyFirebird for purchasing pieces from me over the past couple months. As a newer forum member I really appreciate you guys trusting me in a buying venue that doesn’t necessarily have the “protection” of ebay. That’s one of the things I love about this place–you all are such nice people. Every one of you has been such a pleasure to sell to and I’m so glad when my pieces stay with forum members.

…Not to mention that with my own situation lately, this has actually been a fair portion of my income. You’ve helped beyond a simple sale; cutting my collection back a bit has really helped me with some little expenses that I would be behind on otherwise. I’m so happy and grateful to each of you.

I do have to share this with you–I’ve named the Stegosaurus–his name is George. When I was a little girl, many, many years ago, I remember reading a book about a couple of children that came across this Stegosaurus that seemed to be over looked by time. It was their little secret and the children would come to visit him every day at his watering hole. I don’t remember all of it but I remember his water was too hot for them to drink and when he asked them why they weren’t drinking, they made up the excuse that they didn’t have cups.

Well, the children decide to name the Stegosaurus and they threw out various names to him. He liked the name ‘George’ because he liked the way it sounded and also something about how the sound of the name felt in his mouth or something like that. Now I know why this guy appealed to me–it appealed to my subconcious mind about a little story that obviously delighted me.

Thought I’d share that with you and who knows–maybe someone else has read that same book, If you did, what was the name of it? I’d probably get it and keep it with my own George. 😀

I don’t know–can’t remember anything except what they named the Stegosaurus and bits and pieces of the story. It ends with George having to go away–can’t remember why. But thanks, Bayoudragon, I’ll check it out and let you know if it is or isn’t. Knew someone else might have read that story on here! 😀

I like George 😀 When I was little, my mom and sis and I went to a dude ranch, the first time I ever rode a horse, and “my” horse while we were there was a sweetheart appy named George. We went back again twice in the years after that before he passed away. He was a good boy.

Have you tried searching around on Amazon? I was trying to track down a book I didn’t know the title of a while back, and got some good results just from keyword hunting.
