February 13, 2007 at 5:06 am #538840very cool, TF ! I really like the main part of the body, and the head and haunches, where you used the purple with the pinky-goldy-purple for contrast
Cannot wait to see the dragon – drool.
February 13, 2007 at 5:40 am #538841awwwwwww glad you guys like! i had it soooooooooo set in my head that i had to do him in natural colors, from the yellow eyes. then i was like, you know, with the soft feathers, im going to have a miserable time doing the detailed banded feather thing.. why don’t i just do a tone gradate one and just see what happens…i’m still super new to these -the griffin is #6 for me- but i’m getting less intimidated/afraid of them. the rest of you must feel like they are all an old an old pair of shoes with how many you’ve done! what fun though, i can’t wait til then …i love that this has really been helping my painting skills, i normally didn’t put too much worry into my painting, i was casual, but this has been really educational! it helps to justify time spent on these instead of my own sculptures!
February 13, 2007 at 5:51 am #538842That griffin is beautiful, tf – I love the blue sheen on his purple feathers.
February 13, 2007 at 6:29 am #538843I think the whole thing is put together well. I like flashy things. 🙂 Nice Job.
