hey there! i just put this fella up on ebay, for those of you who like purple, etc. hes a soft feathered griffin, my very first one i bought with metallic violet, purple, pinky-goldy-purple and gold. very flashy! see if you like him or what you think! i will have a matching dragon before toooo long- he’ll wear this color pattern even better. he’s very shimmery!

awwwwwww glad you guys like! i had it soooooooooo set in my head that i had to do him in natural colors, from the yellow eyes. then i was like, you know, with the soft feathers, im going to have a miserable time doing the detailed banded feather thing.. why don’t i just do a tone gradate one and just see what happens…i’m still super new to these -the griffin is #6 for me- but i’m getting less intimidated/afraid of them. the rest of you must feel like they are all an old an old pair of shoes with how many you’ve done! what fun though, i can’t wait til then …i love that this has really been helping my painting skills, i normally didn’t put too much worry into my painting, i was casual, but this has been really educational! it helps to justify time spent on these instead of my own sculptures!
