Do you think you could do something in dichloric? Because if so I would be willing to pay you more than just what the materials cost 😉
May 20, 2012 at 4:15 am #880682I have been trying to find a nice purple =) not as dark as windstone’s plum but not as light as lavender. I’d be interested perhaps for some farther down the road. That ocean sparkle is very pretty!
May 20, 2012 at 4:15 am #880683Ah, how I wish I could make dichroic eyes! Unfortunately the only way that I know how to do those involves having a torch for lampworking and a kiln – neither of which I have access to anymore 🙁

I’d love to see a toned down gold from what Tohickon produces. I haven’t yet seen theirs in person (just ordered), but from the pics, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a brighter gold rather than a tawny one.
Any way to perhaps do a two color–one lighter hue ringing the pupil, one darker spread towards the edges? Might be tough to match the blending from eye to eye, I know…

May 22, 2012 at 3:57 pm #880768I would be interested too Hannah. I really like the metallic eyes. Can you do them in different sizes and can you do the reptile Pupil?????
May 22, 2012 at 7:56 pm #880778I cannot do the reptile pupil unfortunately, but I can do them in different sizes. The blanks I get already have the pupil on them, and there are no options for the reptile pupil with these blanks.
I can get them in 4-14mm sizes 🙂

May 22, 2012 at 11:11 pm #880783Just as a warning, because the paint is not fused to the eyes, it’s very possible that the paint will peel off over time, if the eyes are glued in at the back (the way they are normally glued in).

Would coating the back of the eyes the way I topcoat normal windstones help? As far as I know topcoat prevents peeling, I was planning on covering the fronts of the eyes (masking them) and then spraying the backs with a permanent, clear topcoat.
