test paint question

:squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: REALLY REALLY BIG SQUEAK!!!Ihad asked Olympia to try a basic blue dragon, so this is a first attempt. We often do several ( sometimes carts full) of test paints until we get one that is right. This one has a jarring color combination, but we are still working on it. That particular blue pigment may be the problem. Pthalo blue doesn’t go well with everything.

oooh yay! I am very excited over that. lol, jarring as it is, he is pretty. I think test paints are real cool becuase they are so one of a kind. it is going to be neet to see what happens.

I understand about the Pthalo blue. some times when i am painting something that uses a spacific blue for the color scheme…I grab the wrong one and it clashes so much more. both are blue’s but it is such a difference.

I really like the pegasus color in the background! The blue dragon is ok, I think I’d like it better on a lap, I’m just not a huge fan of the orientals (shrugs…) Blue lap!!!! 😀

I like the blue and silver better than the blue and gold personally. I like Melody’s idea of replacing the gold down the leg with silver. All in all though, a striking paint job; I like this one a lot. A Moon dragon like this would be AWESOME.

Silver instead of gold? I think I like that idea too, it’s a beautiful dragon either way though. 8)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh WOWWWW….I LOVE the Sun dragon, I hope that they will come out in that color 😆
I also like the pegasus mom on the shelf. 😆
