TEST PAINT FROG

OMG!!!! 😯 I just saw the test paint frog on ebay!!! I usually don’t have enough money to outbid other crazy bidders, so I was wondering, what exactly “test paint” means?? Is it going to be in production any time? Or at least LP? I would have a better chance getting one at the web store, than on ebay. Thank you so much!

Test paint means the color could be come a production color at some point in the future. They are “test”ing it out to see how hard it is to paint and if there is a market for the color.

“Test paint” means that this is a sample piece that I tried a new color idea on to see how hard it is to paint, and see if it looks ok. Any test paints MAY become a color that will be used on more pieces, either production or limited. A test paint is not an OOAK, exactly, however the test painted pieces are hand painted individually by me (usually) and will invariably look somewhat different from any production pieces we make, even if the production ones are the same basic colors.

For example, pinto unicorns may be something we do in the future, but the test painted ones have unique markings… oh, and they are also signed and will have a number on them if there is more than one test paint like it.

Hey what happened to the frog? I went to save the image from him and got an invalid item notice. He get pulled?

I had that happen with the frog and the poad… 😕 it wont let me look at the listings…says it’s been removed. 😕

I just did a “Ctrl + F5” and now I can look at the listing again. Wierd.
