I forgot to ask “How many does this serve”, which is to say How much chicken goes with that much sauce?
As you say, the sauce will keep OK if I make too much, but if I make too little it won’t work. And I don’t have a “feel” for cooking to a recipe. I normally just throw stuff together and hope for the best, which doesn’t happen often enough…
I usually buy the chicken thighs that comes in 12 to a package, it will fill a 9×13 pan. The sause that you make will cover all of that. What ever it doesn’t cover you can just spoon on. If you need to make more you can double the ingredants (done it several times) and it still comes out tasteing the same. OR if some like it HOT you can make one batch mild and add a few more peppers to the next! (I have done that too!)
Hope that helps!!!

Yes, thanks. And you are right: two pans will be needed. One with maybe half a pepper for the family, and one for me, with my typically deficient adult-male-type taste buds.September 30, 2007 at 1:07 am #6213453 peppers adds good flavor and isn’t hot! 6 or more (depending on the size of the pepper) will spice it up some! 🙂

-J R R TolkienOctober 16, 2007 at 1:17 am #621347I usually do the broc. cheese casarole, its EASY to make, if you like instant rice.
2 cups instant rice (That stuff that takes 5 mins)
a can of cream of mushroom soup
a can of cream of chicken soup
a reg size jar of cheese wise
broc spares (I usually get the spares that are in the veggie section of the store thats in a bag)
onion if you like onionCook the broc til soft. Combind all other ingredants in a LARGE bowl… the soups, the cheese, and the rice UNCOOKED. Chop up some yellow sweet onion (if you like onion) and add. Drain the broc and add it too, then spead into a 9×13 in casarole dish. cover and bake at 350 for around 30 min.
And green beans are good, with some nice roles!!!
Hope that helps! 🙂
