In case anyone was thinking about bidding on the brown mother and brown young on ebay…well last night I put bids on both and this morning was out bid on the mother by a new ebayer whose name is a bunch of numbers. Since the seller is new too, I was doubly suspicious. I can understand someone wanting to buy Windstones and therefore creating a name just to do that…but why numbers? Anyhow, I checked my email and someone had contacted me with this:

You might want to be careful regarding item 250088075624 … it appears as though it might be a duplicate post of 150049859268 where I was the high bidder, never received the item, the seller’s account was closed, etc. I have no way of knowing that this person is the same or not but the identical picture and a very similar description was used (I notified eBay this morning). You might want to do some checking … the original poster’s info was comic_book_guy82, Megan Hanley, isanna2006@hotmail.com

      Good luck in any case

The listing is also listed here. Well, good to be cautious I suppose

Sounds totally suspect. Def avoid. Ebay names that are all numbers are a dead givaway.

          AVOID!

You know what, I saw BOTH of those as well….I have the mother dragon from back then it was my VERY first Windstone and I had got it from a Psychic Eye Book Store. It looks a little funny too….but…it could just be the pics. BUT if that person had sent you a letter to be suspicious, I would definately be exactly that. I wouldnt go any higher with that bid on that item. I had my eye on those as well. Glad I saw this thread, thanks guys! 😉 😀

Did you ever think the person who sent you the email was somebody who wants them and doesn’t want anyone competing for them? I’m seeing how the Bidder 1,2,3 thing could come in really handy for cases like this.

You COULD be right, I tried to look up that item# that she said she won and supposedly didnt get that item….it doesnt come up at ALL on Ebay 😯 . NOW, EITHER (A) that was a VERY long time ago and cant be proven, or (B) Emerald…you are EXACTLY right.

HMmmmmm….I still dont think I am going to touch it in any case :D. Toooo strange for my liking.

mother: The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken.
young: The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.
hatching: The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.

Sounds like it was not real in the first place anyway

Yeah. I just saw that too. It does seem fishy now, doesn’t it. I still don’t trust anyone who emails and says not to bid on something though. That seems fishy too.

Well in all fairness, she didn’t say not to bid, but pointed out the duplicate listings. Still interesting

They have been relisted on Ebay.

Crazy thing is when they were listed last time I contacted the seller because their pictures on the young dragon auction weren’t showing. They seemed really polite.
