I painted this fella last year and never got around to sharing with anyone!

I’m looking to strip the coating and paint on the tail so I can redo it because I used glossy paint by mistake and it made painting the eyes on the train properly difficult, so if anyone has any tips on that, I’d really appreciate it!

Removing dry paint can be very difficult from a PYO, unless it happens to not like the gypsum and peels off easily. If the surface is smooth enough people just tend to paint over the old paint.
Using acetone to remove the paint will take a lot of effort and materials, and you’ll likely end up with tiny flecks of paint in the crevices that are too stubborn to get rid of.
Maybe a coat of matte or ultra matte varnish on the tail would help give the eye paint something to grab on to.
