the golden compass… makes me the longest waiter, or can anyone beat december 7?
*g*
I know you said summer, but I believe thats the only one I am really excited about. And a tad bit HP, for the Thestrals mainly cause I am one of a huge CGI Critter freak 🙂May 7, 2007 at 12:22 pm #571752I really do hope they actually use the thestrals, and dont replace them with hippogriffs or something else easily explained. The parts in the 3rd book that were left out really confused DH, LOL, like who “Missuers Pronghorn, Padfoot, Moonie and Wormtail” were.
May 7, 2007 at 12:33 pm #571753Yes i agree ruffian, i was laughin at that bit when they were making fun of Snape in the book. My dad who watched the 3rd film before reading the books didn’t understand who they were 🙁
May 7, 2007 at 2:43 pm #571754The Golden Compass is going to be made into a movie? Awesome! I’ll add that to my list too.
May 7, 2007 at 4:18 pm #571755Don’t forget the Simpsons! ……. Ok, so it’s not a summer flick, but everyone MUST SEE Hot Fuzz! **NOT FOR LITTLE CHILDREN, gore and language** It was hilarious! Lots of blood, action and british humor. Also, if you haven’t already seen Shawn of the Dead, go rent that as well!
May 7, 2007 at 4:50 pm #571756I’ve been waiting for “The Last Unicorn” movie to get going for years now. They have had the website up for a long time and it was in the planning stages, but I’m not sure if they actually officially dropped the idea yet *hopes*.
I am also waiting for the “Battle Angel Alita” movie. Since James Cameron bought the rights to make it, I have been waiting and waiting for that one. It was my favorite manga of all time.
…..in the realm of reality… I can’t wait to take my little brothers to see Harry Potter. I haven’t read the books, but the movies have been entertaining to me. No real interest in Spider man, I heard it was kind of bad anyways. Pirates of the Carribean lost me after the first movie.
May 7, 2007 at 4:54 pm #571757There is going to be a last unicorn movie?!

That Web site for the live action version of “The Last Unicorn” isn’t one you should trust. None of the cast listed are actually contractual. It is in no way associated with the author Peter S. Beagle and his publisist Connor Cochran. In fact they are trying to get the rights for the live action version back. The best place to get TLU news is Conlan Press. Heck Peter doesn’t even make any money off any of the TLU dvd’s (or the old animated LOTR movie that he did the screenplay for) that are currently being sold due to Granada Media not paying him what he is owed.

May 7, 2007 at 6:24 pm #571760I read Pullman’s trilogy. I liked the first book but was pretty much done with it by the second. I slogged through the third just to finish it. *shrugs* I know some people love the trilogy but I just couldn’t get into it passed the first book.

May 7, 2007 at 8:42 pm #571762Cool! That’s definitely on my to-see list.
And my daemon is Sergius, a lion.
May 7, 2007 at 8:54 pm #571763I just rented Happy Never After, I liked the twist ending.
My deamon is Pereus, a mouse. This will be a interesting movie to watch.
May 7, 2007 at 8:58 pm #571764I did daemons for my brothers. We’re one big family of cats! But I’ve got the biggest cat. 😈
