I know, right?? Imagine having to do all of that to make one dish. When a recipe says do something for 3 days, do something else, turn every other day, you know I’m out of it. lol I thought it was interesting to read, though. It’s getting to the point we’re impatient if something has to microwave for 5 whole minutes. 😉

GB, let us know if you try any of the recipes.

Sounds yummy :yum: . I’m not the cook in the family, though. My hubby is. Maybe I can convince him to make some….

I can handle a few hours baking.. but days.. nope.. short attention span..

my friend is making duck tomorrow.. but he’s been working on it for 3 days.. I was like.. um.. too much effort buh bye.. 😈

I love to cook…..but dang…..I suppose I’m more of a “short order cook” as I tend to put meals together quickly, even the fancier ones….I make a mean homemade lasagna, I think that’s my most labor intensive meal..it has to be started at lunchtime to be ready for dinner that night.

My candied pralines are pretty awesome too.

I can say I’ve NEVER spent more than a day on something “just to eat” unless it was a wedding cake.

Oh come on guys! Cooking is fun! (no sarcasam here-really) Besides, once you’ve made it once and screwed up, you can get it just the way you like it after that 🙂

yes the first time I made cannoli (however you spell it).. they came out quite scary.. but part of that was the recipe.. too much flower, not enough butter.. found a better recipe..
