http://www.mustangphotos.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/1568/size/bigThats a nice car!! I like the stripes. 😀
August 7, 2007 at 3:35 pm #606234I love Mustangs. A lot of people here don’t, because they’re so common, but I think they’re pretty.

They’re an American icon! 😀
August 7, 2007 at 6:38 pm #606236there are a ton of those black w/gold stripes GTs riding around this town….
I would like something different….when we were in CO they had a dealer that customized every one they sold…and they had a purple one….now that one I would take….LOL
August 7, 2007 at 8:17 pm #606237Are you sure they’re not black with yellow stripes? The gold is dark on the Cobra GT500. I haven’t seen one yet like it yet on the streets… not even here in Atlanta. Everyone seems to like the white ones with blue stripes, and the red with white stripes though. I’ve seen a few of those already.
I can’t really be picky though. That car looks killer no matter what color it’s in… and would gladly take any of them.
There is a dealership near where I live that does custom Stangs. I see different ones out on display all the time. I like the rear window louver look a lot.
August 7, 2007 at 8:58 pm #606238nope it’s black and gold…..
we hardly have any of the white and blue or white and red…or red and white…
we don’t get a big variety here….
August 8, 2007 at 3:43 pm #606239The colors vary according to model? Cool. I didn’t know that.

sometimes….usually only certain ones have stripes and certain colored stripes
but colors really vary from region…like west coast will get more of certain colors than will east coast and usually the area I’m in gets left over colors….mainly we get black, white and silver
we usually have to have other colors ordered…
August 8, 2007 at 3:51 pm #606241That’s an interesting marketing gag.
August 8, 2007 at 7:36 pm #606242Wow. The Elise is one awesome car. Thanks for sharing, Wolfen.

I actually looked at a Lotuse Elise and they are in the 50k price range. They are neat little cars, but they are smaller than the Pontiac Soltice and have seats on the floor…
Gorgeous, yes, but very, very small, just a big go kart almost.
I prefer the big, burly American Sports cars…
Here are my babies and me 🙂

exactly what I said….it’s kind of like you’re dragging your butt on the road….because they are less than 5 inches off the ground…..and the seats really are bolted directly to the floor….
horrible ride for that much money…but yeah…they are very fast

The whole mystic to the Lotus Elise is that they are stipped down and very light. And they are super stylish. So in Lemans style road racing they are actually keeping up with some of the Corvettes, Vipers and Porches…which is incredible.
Considering that these little guys have 150 to 200 horse power less than their competitors. It is all about the light frame and Horse power to weight ratio.
We keep seeing these little fellas at the road races and they do hold their own.. and they cost less than the cars I have…
I can drive my Viper or Vette everyday if I want…and I have a trunk in both so I can actually use either for a grocery getter…but the Elise has a tiny little trunk…so it would not have been practical for me…
I race the two cars I have, but they serve as drivers too…so practicality wise…and big nasty musle car wise….I couldn’t justify an Elise…
But in pictures it is a gorgeous, exotic little beast!
If you have 30k hanging around for a used one…and you are using it as a pretty day driver or race car…then they would probably fit into your lifestyle 🙂 They also make a great dream car! And they are affordable!
