Good idea Wolfen, sometimes they pay up pretty quickly when they get a letter from a lawyer.

Sun Dragon Koi #3March 27, 2008 at 2:35 pm #664212honestly though…the damage isn’t enough to sue over….suing would be just something to do to prove a point…
it’s just I have the $500 deductible…it might not even cost that much to get fixed… 😕
that’s the sucky part…
March 27, 2008 at 2:40 pm #664213That does suck. At least it wasn’t like $3500 worth of damage. That would hurt (increase) your insurance premium if your insurance had to pay. I”m sorry you’re having to deal with this.

yeah…it’s a pain in the butt…and as it is my insurance company is fighting with his to try to get them to pay…
but if it was like $3500 they might total the car…cause it’s only a Saturn…and if I could I’d get rid of it anyway…
already too many problems….and the dealer here sucks big time…

I’ve never owned a Saturn. I have a Chevy Berretta and a Nisan Xterra for the winter when they don’t plow the roads. Snow gets too high for the car 😕 My roommate has a Toyota Corolla, we share the Xterra as we work opposite shifts 😆 . They’ve all been great vehicles.

saturn is mostly General Motors…parts bin cars…
the one I have has a Cadillac engine, Saab interior bits….and Malibu chassis…with bits from here or there…
they made the new Malibu…and it looks very similar..but is higher quality…and cheaper…
I’ve decided when I get a new car it’s going to be something with an import name…because most of those are actually assembled in the USA when USA label cars are usually assembled in Canada or Mexico….(mostly Mexico)
March 27, 2008 at 5:02 pm #664217I’ve owned my Berretta for more than 10 years and I love it. But the Nissan and the Toyota are both just as nice. 😆 But I have noticed that the “foreign” cars are made here and the “American” cars are made elsewhere. 😕

yeah we had a Berretta…but that’s way back…
it got totalled but it was a nice car…
too bad they don’t make them like that anymore…it’s mostly plastic junk now..
March 27, 2008 at 5:51 pm #664219Saturn’s WHERE GREAT cars until GM got ahold of them.
My car that just got totalled was a Saturn. I’m MUCH happier in my new Honda, well new to me!(it’s a 2004)
After 1 month (only 28,000 miles) my engine light is coming on. I’m bringing it in tomorrow. The service guy said it might have been a loose gas cap. It was loose but I never knew a car could detect a loose gas cap.I think I need to get the button reset and my front bumper is now scratched. I think it happened last week in their car wash after they changed the oilMarch 27, 2008 at 6:16 pm #664220Dragon Master wrote:Saturn’s WHERE GREAT cars until GM got ahold of them.

all new cars can check if the gas cap is loose…but check engine can also mean it needs service, a belt is loose, it needs spark plugs…or any number of things..
and scratches can be buffed out…the sell any number of products for that
March 27, 2008 at 6:52 pm #664221I’m bringing the car in tomorrow so they can hook it up and find the problem
This is a gash about 8″ long and 1/4″ wide. I’m wondering if it flaked off due to ageMarch 27, 2008 at 7:15 pm #664222It could also be a bad O2 sensor. Hondas, Nissans, and Toyotas are all know for that. My brother had 3 of the d… things go out same one all 3 times. My roommate’s car’s check engine light comes on and off all the time, it’s the same problem O2 sensor. My mechanic said if the car isn’t acting stupid to just lave it alone.

Sun Dragon Koi #3March 27, 2008 at 7:18 pm #664223Both of my Saturns had the problem with the check engine light going on because of the gas cap. The dealer “fixed” the sensor, but didn’t do a very good job, because it still comes on all the time. 🙄 They used to be a different kind of car company, but now they suck. 😆

mine is an 07….and the seat squeaks and rattles horrible…the CD player skips if there’s any kind of temperature change….and if I take it to the dealer they mess up more stuff than when it was taken in…
and they are just horrible rude freaks…so I won’t even take it into the dealer anymore…
I’m ready for a VW
March 27, 2008 at 8:06 pm #664225I’ll know more tomorow morning. Sounds like it might just need to get reset to me. He said is does reset on it’s own sometimes after 3-4 nice size trips. Home tonight will be trip 4
