I was wondering if have ever considered doing a run of dragons that had patterns, like spots or stripes. Nothing overly complicated. Maybe some kind of pattern on the wings and/or a few markings on the outer limbs and face. I noticed that some Poads have patterns that appear to have been made with a stencil. How hard would it be to make stencils for a dragon? I’d love to see ‘tiger’ or ‘cheetah’ inspired dragons someday 😀 .

yes I have painted markings on dragons wings with stencils…and Olimpia was experimenting with painting feather markings on the cats and griffins. We do use stencils in production sometimes, but they are a pain, so I prefer to not use them if possible.
When we get some dragon castings again ( there has been a dragon drought around here) I will give it a serious try! I want to make some new, natural looking production griffin pattern too, to replace the “Wolf” color.Cool 8) ! I’m bummed about a ‘dragon drought’, but at least it gives me time to recover from my birthday shopping spree. Plus I’m stoked about a new Griffin color. Lot’s to look forward to 😀 !
