I wish I could come watch the whole season with you, I LOVE Stargate, and I’d love to see the whole thing through! When you’re done watching them…can I borrow them if I pay for shipping? 😀 I don’t watch TV much anymore, but when I do it’s usually a show like Stargate 😀 yay Scifi!
Yeah, I love the SciFi channel too (when they aren’t crapping out crappy movies, lol)! I usually only watch that, House, or Ninja Warrior (the only ‘live’ show I’ll watch) on cable. Everything else…I just buy the DVDs. >.>;
It’ll probably take me a while to get through what was it, 10? seasons. XD If you can wait, I’ll let you borrow when I’m done. It’s that huge boxset, though! And I’m the most anal person on the planet about my DVDs (I bought D-skins for the whole Alias set, lol), so if you think you can handle it…;) Yeah, it’d be much more better to watch together. :0 But since we can’t, here’s something I made for teh lulz –>
I am insane, I know. But you know it would be the most insanely fun bed on the entire planet. Don’t deny! XD We had all kinds of laughs about my Stargate Bed idea at work, so you can laugh too. =) Hehe. Personally, I like the top version best. >.> But for the old and infirm, who can’t jump through the Stargate like that, there is the round waterbed version!
March 19, 2008 at 1:59 am #679666I like the water bed idea…but…it may not be a good idea to get as a single guy…
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
Engaged to a WeaselMarch 19, 2008 at 2:17 am #679667heehee! I Love both ideas, but I don’t know about the waterbed part. My mom and dad had one and it wasn’t very comfortable and it got popped…we think it was the cat’s claws but we never figured it out.
I can wait Kitsunelady ^^ yay!
March 19, 2008 at 12:47 pm #679668I always wanted to watch the series when they started broadcasting it in Finland but never got around doing it in the end. Partly because I was so young I wasn’t allowed to stay up late enough to watch it. -___- And partly because at later age I lost my interest in TV series… since they all seemed to last for eternity, and I dislike the kind of series that don’t seem to have an end.

“Richard returns to Stargate SG-1 in Continuum, the second direct-to-DVD movie in the Stargate franchise. The movie, filmed in Vancouver and on location in the Arctic, is a time travel story. While SG-1 attends the execution of Ba’al, the last of the Goa’uld System Lords, Teal’c and Vala inexplicably disappear into thin air. Carter, Daniel and Mitchell race back to a world where history has been changed: the Stargate Program has been erased from the timeline. As they try to convince the authorities of what’s happened, a fleet of Goa’uld motherships arrives in orbit, led by Ba’al, his queen, Qetesh (Vala) and his first prime, Teal’c. SG-1 must find the Stargate and set things right before the world is enslaved by the Goa’uld.”May 8, 2008 at 2:22 pm #679670Oh oh oh! I wanted to ask a question about this movie!
So, my husband, dad, and I are standing around Circuit City waiting for my mom to choose a new washer, and we’re watching a few minutes of this movie on one of the big screen TVs. We’re all sci-fi fans, so my dad is like, “What movie is this?”
None of us know, but I say, “Some of the ships look kinda Stargatey.” (I’ve only seen the original movie, but I know about the TV show.)
My husband said, “I don’t remember them making a movie based off the TV series.”
I said, “Me neither.” *shrug*
So anyway, not a week goes by and I see that, in fact there IS a Stargate movie based off the TV show that was recently released.
The only scene I can remember though is this:
There is some kind of aerial dog fight going on. There’s at least one human in a ship that seems to talk, and then I think a couple of attacking aliens of some sort it what I thought looked like Stargate style ships.
So, was I right? Was this the Ark of Truth movie, or did I just waste a minute of everyone’s life?
May 8, 2008 at 9:49 pm #679671I think that was Stargate Ark of Truth….. I’ll have to watch it again. Oh, wait there was a few fights involving ships. 😆 😉
