Stacking boxes

I would like some advice please.

I only have 3 pieces on display because I don’t have enough space.

So the rest of my collection is still in their original box, and will stay there until I move to a new house. I am stacking them up, but I wonder how many I can stack up before the ones on the bottom are crushed. So far, I have made piles of 5 boxes, but I don’t have much space anymore, so I am wondering if I can put more than 5 boxes on top of each other.

I don’t have any large sculpts like the Emperor. My heaviest piece is a Female Griffin. Most of them are Male and Female Dragons.

So does anybody have some advice on the number of boxes I can safely stack up?

Our tallest stack at the shop is the dragon sconce stack, with 7 layers of boxes. We have had stacks much higher though, needing a ladder to reach the top. I have safely stacked SK’s with 3 or 4 layers, and they are much heavier than emps. I don’t think your pieces are in any danger of being crushed as long as they are packed with their original honeycomb inserts, and if you don’t jump on them.

Does it mean I have to stop jumping on them? 😉

If you needed a ladder, my guess is they were up to 15-20 boxes high. Am I right? If so, I won’t have to worry for another year or two before I get enough pieces for that.
