If you look closely the one on the left has an orange eye instead of red eyes, another way to tell it is a red/russet flame. It could also be the flash distorted the colors. As we all know Windstone colors are notoriously hard to photograph accurately.

I would not consider VF1 a different color. Its certainly not an official color. The difference is the blue antique and thats it, right?

I’m not really sure but once I have #2 I can put it next to #1 and see for myself what the differences are. #1 is sitting next to his cousin Russett in the glass case right now

They are still not a different color. Just like the ‘stripey’ brown griffin and the brown griffin are the same thing, so are the vf curlies.
