DM, did you put delivery confirmation on it? It’s one of the requirements of the swap; you should be able to check the USPS site for delivery. 🙂
I have my confirmation number here somewhere, in my check book I think, but not sure how to do the Post office site thing
It was automatic since I sent it Priority mail

I wanted to know more what the person thought of the contentsDelivery Confirmation is not automatic when you send via Priority Mail; it is actually a separate and additional charge. Priority Mail doesn’t have tracking on it’s own; Express Mail is the only one that automatically has it.
March 8, 2010 at 7:38 pm #800474well I hope my person got it today
I still have nothing yetMarch 8, 2010 at 7:46 pm #800475Dragon Master wrote:I have my confirmation number here somewhere, in my check book I think, but not sure how to do the Post office site thing
It’s very easy. If you can post here I know you can do it.
Take the number on your green and white Delivery Confirmation slip (it is 20 numbers long, in 5 groups of 4 numbers) and type it into the box that says “Track and Confirm” on the right upper corner of this site: http://www.usps.com/
Press “Go”
And there you have it!

Got a lovely package with two of my favorite products from the Body Shop and a cd that I’ve been wanting for a while now. Thanks hun!! And I love the pic of Tristan (is that him, it looks like him) on your address label:
Love the White Musk scent. 😀
Glad you liked them. I am so relieved to know you got them because the idiot at the Pack and Save kinda worried me. He asked what was in the package and I told him and he said I couldn’t send perfume so I backtracked and told him body lotion only but I was afraid he would try to open the package to check – evidentally he didn’t because you got it. YES that is Tristen I still have a lot of address stickers I had made up when he was still alive and I still use them. He was such a gorgeous boy and he thought so to
March 8, 2010 at 10:39 pm #800477OH NO!!!!
I just got to work with my jacket that had what I thought was my tracking number reciept in my checkbook in my jacket pocket and found out it’s ONLY my insurance receipt!!
I thought since I sent it priority 1-3 days I got a confirmation reciept too??
well I also just found my reciept that has a 20 digit number so maybe that is it ??Track & Confirm is temporarily unavailable.
GGGRRR!!!!!!
NOW I get
Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office.
What good is it to send thing this way when you can’t track them???

That’s why you need to put a separate Delivery Confirmation on these packages so you can track them. Insurance is good if it goes missing but ts the DC number that lets you see where it is.
I think before the next swap I need to re-clarify the rules. 😕
March 9, 2010 at 12:49 am #800479it’s actualy the reason why we have had manny manny discussions about packages and tracking….and why when you go to the P.O. they have (at least every one I have shipped from in the NoCal area and in KY) have these plaquerds on the walls and at the counters for labels, about the additional cost of tracking/insurance/delivery confirmation.
@Daydreamer:
I am so glad you got Mgutz box and like the little dragon. I was quite warm hearted that she sent it to you and am very pleased you are very happy with him. It is so nice to see how he has gotten himself around!March 9, 2010 at 2:08 am #800480If we do this again I will MAKE sure to get a delivery confirmation number
I thought the lady told me that was the number
My reciept says it’s the label number I thought that was the confirmation label? It was sent priority mail??
Was I supposed to get a different confirmation number? Can the PO track it by this number if I go there tomorrow?
or it this number just for the insurance I paid on the box??March 9, 2010 at 3:13 am #800481KoishiiKitty wrote:@Daydreamer:

I do THINK that maybe they PO can track it by the reciept, but I do not think they would do so…especialy since that is why they have the service of paying additional specificly for tracking.

That is a very nice compliment! this is one of my older pieces, when I was really still learning, so in a lot of ways it is different in smoothness from my current pieces, but it is very much entirely unique as well because of that. Ah gosh. I really am very glad you got him. 🙂

i’m out of town, but the house sitter says there are some packages waiting for me. argh! i’ll have to wait till this weekend to see what it is.
It’s a beautiful book, I was so delighted when I opened it! It mainly shows technique and has a small showcase of the artist’s works for the last chapter :).
March 9, 2010 at 5:00 am #800485That is one of my most favorite animal painting books! 🙂
