Just a thought–when you take inventory of what is totally lost–why don’t you post those items here. There are eyes and ears all over and who knows–we can keep a lookout for these items on ebay and let you know. 🙂

Or other places besides evilBay for that matter, I know quite a few people from the Renn Faire world that have lots of nifty and interesting things, and I’m sure many more of us know even stranger people to point us in the right direction!
Best of luck and pass the virtual chocolate! ….I had to have Louis get me a bag of peanut butter M&Ms so I wouldn’t be so pissy at him all the time…. 😳

Ditto! Big hugs…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

October 5, 2009 at 12:05 am #785570OH NOOOOO!!! THAT SUCKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BADD!! I’m so sorry hon!
I had a day like that not too long ago when I got Siberakh’s BEAUTIFUL Red Husky PYO and about 15 minutes after unpacking him my kitty, Jet BROKE HIM! 🙄 👿
If you want, and you don’t mind it taking a while. I don’t know much about Ball Jointed Dolls or Lord Of the Rings Collectibles, but I’ll fix your chicks pro bono if you want to just cover the shipping fees.
Just a thought anyway.

That’s a very nice offer you made, drag0n. 8)
October 5, 2009 at 3:49 pm #785572🙁 Ungh, this is why I’m personally afraid to put any Windstones on wall shelves. I just don’t trust it. I mean I have some small ones (like a curled) ion there but the big ones stay on top of dressers and such. (At least until I get a curio cabinet.)
*hugs* All we can do is offer some cyber-hugs (and yes cyber chocolate too!) and hope you get a financial windfall to help replace the damaged items. As for the other ones that suffered minor chips and such, take dragon’s offer! She’s so sweet and amazing at fixing those things! 😉
October 5, 2009 at 4:04 pm #785573D4L is right and I should have mentioned it, too. Drag0n does wonderful repair work! 😀
October 5, 2009 at 4:26 pm #785574You gals and guys are just wonderful. Thanks for the sympathy and understanding. Dragon, I just might take you up on that offer. Hubby has tried to repair some of the chickies, but they just don’t klook the same, sigh.
Most of the lotr stuff was noble collection, but I figured they had stopped making them. I’m glad to find out, most of what was broken is still available….when I eventually have money to replace them.
And the windstones were not actually on the shelves, but on a stationary book case underneath the shelf that fell…but the upper shelf falling knocked them all out of their shelf, and them falling on each other is what damaged them.
As for the dolls, I was able to repair all of them pretty successfully, and a friend of mine that does doll repairs will probably help with what I couldn’t do.
Thanks for letting me vent! 🙂

October 5, 2009 at 11:58 pm #785575No problem! We all need a little help sometimes, and I don’t mind. Please, vent away! Fixing furry and feathery guys are my specialty! It’s the dragons that are hard to fix with the SMOOTH scales! I’d be happy to help out! 😀
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement guys! It gave me warm fuzzies <3 <3 <3 I don't think I'm as good as Kyrin, but I'll try my very best!

Dreamscape, Orion, Poison Dart, Fireberry, Spangler + Tigerberry DragonsOctober 6, 2009 at 4:49 am #785576Im sorry. I would have cried, too. I dont suppose you had any insurance? 🙁
October 6, 2009 at 3:18 pm #785577I’d cry too if that happened! I’m glad that things are at least fixable or replaceable. I’m glad you have someone to repair the BJDs. I have my first one coming next month (Soom Amber) with a few coming down the road… gotta love Soom’s wait time and some bits due in this week. I’m nervous about her ears arriving in one piece or breaking something trying to restring her faun bits on when I get her! I’d cry if they weren’t fixable! Yes, Drag0n does a great job with repairs, as does Kyrin. Either could make your windstones look good as new!
Yup. Noble collection LotR stuff is mostly still all made. Anything else you can find online in a store or ebay if it isn’t, just a matter of being patient… things eventually show up on ebay.
