I still can’t believe it! I had a really big flower pot outside my office door with a red geranium plant in it. I have had that flower pot and plant outside the door as an attraction for clients since I moved in here 5 years ago. It probably weighed 40-45 lbs due to the wet dirt and the plant and it was a big pot. And yesterday morning when I got to work, I just stood outside the door for about 5 minutes in shock because someone had STOLEN THE ENTIRE POT during the night, the entire thing, leaving nothing but the ring on the ground to show it had ever been there. 👿 It wasn’t like it was some exotic or unusual plant, just a geranium, and the office is in a complex that is a bit secluded, no walk through traffic, a bank at one end, 2 dentists, a hearing aid place, home health, 2 insurance agencies, a beauty salon, a gourmet meal delivery service, etc. We have never had any problem with vandalism or theft before. I’m mad, hurt, scared, insulted, sad, still in shock that someone would steal my flower pot! I really liked that pot, I had gotten that geranium at the farmer’s market and it survived for 5 years of our scorching summers and cold winters and neglect on my part with the water, it just hung in there producing red flowers and greeting the clients when they came in. I don’t know whether to get another one and chain it to the outside pipeline, or cement to the ground or not get another one at all. But it looks so bare there!! 😥 Why did someone have to take the whole pot? They must have had help, that was a heavy pot! 🙄 It’s rare when something of mine gets stolen, so I don’t have a lot of experience with it, at least lately. STUPID THIEVES!!! :shout: May they never have a moment’s peace with it and may their hands break out in warts, rashes, eczema, itching, and their fingers swell up like sausages and their hair and teeth fall out, and they get incurable toe fungus! I have more but I’ll save them for later!
*still shaking my head in disbelief* WHY?February 26, 2009 at 7:31 am #497684February 26, 2009 at 10:05 am #752803They must have really liked that geranium! I’m so sorry someone took your plant. *hugs*

February 26, 2009 at 1:03 pm #752804Whoa How stupid is that. Stealing a pot of dirt and and a flower. 😕 That must’ve been some pot. Maybe they thought there was buried treasure in there 😀
I’m sorry that happened to you. I’d be in shock too. {Hug}February 26, 2009 at 1:04 pm #752805Wow, I know exactly how you feel. Someone stole three of our flower pots right off our front porch last year. I was so mad I wrote in to our newspaper’s Speak Out and told them God had seen what their momma hadn’t. >.> We had two big ones like yours taken (ours had random mixed annuals in them, again, nothing exotic – we got them at Wal-mart), and a small one with some pansies in it. *pats* Don’t worry, all you have to do is get a cast cement/stone pot next time. They can’t pick those up.
February 26, 2009 at 1:20 pm #752806I’m so sorry someone stole your plant! It never ceases to amaze me how low some people can get, to steal the things they do. 🙁
February 26, 2009 at 1:59 pm #752807They stole a pot??? Maybe they thought they could smoke the geranium….. 😀
Seriously though, I’d get a heavier pot next time (like the cement one kitsunelady suggested). Something that people would have way more trouble picking up then 40-45lbs.
February 26, 2009 at 6:45 pm #752808I’m sorry someone stole your flower pot. Some people are just jerks.
February 26, 2009 at 7:50 pm #752809People will steal anything that isn’t glued, chained or spot-welded down. I had a ‘friend’ of mine brag to me about how she stole a big stone gargoyle from someone’s lawn. She had it proudly displayed in her living room :nea: . It looked like it weighed at least 50 lbs, maybe more. All I could think was how p$@#ed the original ownwers would be when they dicovered that their statue missing. Plus, the feeling of being violated. I’ve had stuff stollen from me – it sucks! Sorry you had to go through that, drgnlvr 🙁 . *hugs*
February 26, 2009 at 8:48 pm #752810sorry, this is so rediculos that I burst out laughing, but this is just so sad, I hope that justice will :spank: those villains
😡 freaking thieves :shout:
February 26, 2009 at 10:18 pm #752811Once while we were eating at a restaurant, I looked out the window at the nice landscaping and watched two men jump out of a truck with shovels, quickly dig up a large shrub, throw the whole large plant with the dirt ball on the roots, into the back of a pick up truck and drive away! They stole a planted landscape shrub!! In broad daylight!

February 27, 2009 at 3:47 am #752814Oh my goodness, how crazy is that?! I am so sorry about it. 🙁

That’s ridiculous. Sorry you lost the pot, drgnlvr. I don’t know why some people think the world belongs to them. -
