I just have to add these curls are my FAVORITE! I hope melody does more small dragons– I love love love them! I wonder if I should get the coiled too– from pics I really don’t like them as much as the curled– hmmm- I’ll have to do more checking!
I didn’t think I would like them either, but in person they are so sweet! Now I want them all!

It’s not just contagious… it’s a disease! My god it’s scary! 😆 I’ve purchased more Windstones (NOT counting the PYOs and they are the reason I joined!!!) than I had in the 10 years leading up to joining…. GAH!!!!
You people are horrible!
And I love it! 😆
BTW… LOVE the dragons! ::snatches the Ki-Rin Family while everyone is distracted and runs off::

Wow! When was this?! I guess I missed that. I thought when I paid about $260 for mine it was waaayyy overpriced, but I wanted it badly enough. Now I feel better. 😀

Somebody bought it from BT on a Buy Now.

😆 😆 😆 I did a quick calculation today. I started in Septmeber with five random pieces. I now have 33 – I collected 28 in 5 months. I’m buying an average of almost six pieces each month! 😯

That must mean I’m the real oddball. Since I joined I’ve only bought one PYO and that’s it. My collection is the same size as it was before hand.

How do you do that?! You must be really disciplined. My average is a bit less than Basilisk’s at 3.1 pieces per month since about June.

Please give me some of your self-discipline, pegasi! (Unless it means a hubby with a tight hand on the checkbook… 😆 )

HA HA HA!!! Same here! So far the BF doesn’t seem to realize how many “larger” Windstones have entered the house… so far just the Hippogryph Candlelamp, mother Gryph… and Young Unicorn at some point… the others are all smaller (EmPea Coiled and PYOs) but still! 😆
Then you count the horses… and… to think we just moved! 😆

I am disciplined, but not having any extra money to spend helps. I don’t work and my husband is only a SPC in the army so we rarely have extra cash. Our savings account is almost empty.
We also have had some car maintence issues in the last year that ate up any extra money we could have. We actually owe my parents close to $3,000 since they paid to replace the tansmission in my husband’s car.
I’m the one who keeps the checkbook, not him. At times I’m glad I do because he has a hard time telling me no when I want something. He’ll often go without so our son and I can have things.
We got a sizable income tax return, but half of that went to pay off my husband’s car (yeah we own both our cars now) and the other half will go to the credit card company.
My husband is going to be deploying in a few months and I plan on being just as tight with our money (once he hits 30 days in country it becomes tax free). I want to have the credit card and my school loan paid off, as well as put some money into savings. I just have to keep the “theraputic spending” down and I’ll get them done.
Oh and we don’t have a lot of space to display stuff since we live in a 2 bedroom apartment on post.
February 28, 2007 at 7:37 pm #543260You sound like a good wife to a brave husband, pegasi. I wouldn’t want to trade places, but you’re a model citizen.
February 28, 2007 at 7:46 pm #543261Thanks GB. This will be his second deployment and it’s looking like it will be 15-18 months rather than 12 months like last time. The only thing we are looking forward to with it is the extra money we will be getting and using to pay off our bills.
I did a little too much “theraputic spending” last time so we only got my car paid off a few months early. I know what I did wrong last time, so I’ll try to do things different this time around. Especially since when he comes home from the deployment he will have fulfilled his contract with the army and we will need money to move on to civilian life.
