A friend of mine was looking into some dragons she had found online. One she questioned me on. She had found a signed white emperor dragon, new in box, and it was being sold for only $100. Does this sound strange to anyone? Or is it a really lucky find? I thought that it was a little weird, did Melody sign those? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wow… Yes, that is pretty cheap, unless they just dont know what they have. I dont know if any were signed beyond the ‘Pena’ signature thats in the mold.

That is very inexpensive for that piece, new in box. They tend to go for $300-500 on eBay.
Melody didn’t sign the white emperors. She occasionally has signed individual pieces in the past, but not terribly commonly, and only when someone asked her to. So perhaps they are just looking at the © Pena stamp in the side of the emperor?

They said it was actually signed because it was special. I had no idea what that meant? I didn’t think she made “special” white emperors. And for that cheap was a little alarming.
May 11, 2008 at 11:10 pm #700338Maybe its not an emperor. The white old warriors where signed (well all but mine lol). Maybe its an old warrior dragon.

No, it’s an emperor. She knows at least that much. LOL 😆 I haven’t followed up with her yet because she is at work, but I will try to get more details.
