What does “kaleeking” mean? That’s the first time I’ve heard that term.
That is the biddders e-bay ID
I would say it’s not a real wordFebruary 10, 2007 at 8:06 am #537492Dragon Master wrote:mimitrek wrote:Greater Basilisk wrote:Was the bidder kaleeking?

I would say it’s not a real wordThanks DM…I thought it was some term like “shilling”… 🙂

Kaleeking does have a ring to it. What can we make it stand for? Bidders that don’t pay up? 😆 😉
February 10, 2007 at 3:46 pm #537499Sounds good to me! 😆
Looks like GB coined a slang term after all! 🙂
February 10, 2007 at 3:59 pm #537500We’ll have to remember to use the term so it’ll catch on. 😆 😆 😆
February 10, 2007 at 4:00 pm #537501The high bidder was not Kaleeking, at least not under that name. It was a new person with zero feedbacks, who just joined ebay the day before my auction ended. Apparently she didn’t understand that winning the auction meant she had to pay for it.
The second and third highest bidders no longer wanted the dragon. And the lowest bidder never responded to my second chance offer and it expired. So I relisted the dragon.
Kaleeking was the person who stole my photo and words for the auction, so something like “thief” would be more appropriate to the meaning of the new word. S/he used my photo and words for the same item: the only competition I had at that time. And then also used my words on another dragon auction too. S/he had both her auctions pulled by Ebay. Now s/he’s sold her lap dragon, so I shouldn’t have any more trouble with him/her.

Oh yes, I remember that. Sounds like that will be the definition of “kaleeking”: copying the photos and/or description from someone else’s auction listing and using them in your own auction. 🙂
February 10, 2007 at 4:09 pm #537503So the past tense would be: kaleekinged, or kaleeked? Or something else?
February 10, 2007 at 4:13 pm #537504I think kaleeked sounds good…as in the person who is kaleeking emerald’s auction right now is the same person who kaleeked emerald’s auction last week… 😆
February 10, 2007 at 4:15 pm #537505I agree with the grammar. But don’t jinx my auction! 😯 … 😀
